I safely aboard the destroyer cruiser Defiance for my new round of orders. The general was an elderly human who was halfway through balding. The rest of his hair was a combination of white and black strands. I was ordered to track a prison break. A deadly adversary by the name of Andras had escaped a level hundred penal colony with the help of his cronies. His file was redacted that it didn't have a face for me to point out in the crowd. His rescuer was called the Maverick's Gambit. A group of flagless, merciless killers. Who are described as blunt instruments that came crashing down like a tsunami. They barged in and sprayed the compound with projectiles till the guards were all riddled with holes. The other inmates were either recruited or executed depending on strategic value. They boarded their Aberration class battleship named Mutilator and detonated the facility as they reached the upper atmosphere. They quickly and efficiently disappeared and no one had a clue which direction to go. According to intelligence reports he has a financier who handled all the expenses. My job was simply to interrogate her for any means to reacquire him. I found her inside an underground gambling room in the Twilight quadrant. She was a Parallax. She was the same height as me but she had crystal like skin. Her ears were crumpled and looked like they were pasted to the sides of her slight flat face with slits for nostrils. Her voice sounded like metal being dragged on gravel. Her eyes were midnight blue with black slits as pupils. Her fork tongue slipped in and out as though she was tasting the air which smelled metallic. She wore a monochromatic bodysuit. She had a look of disdain as though she was expecting company but whoever the person was has decided that ghosting her was the best solution. I wasn't the only one eyeing her with interest. There were a few others too. One was a Wrangler. He was tall, broad and looked like he could take a head on collision with a tank and walk away without a scratch. He grabbed her and tried to drag her out of the establishment kicking and screaming. He managed to take seven steps when her head exploded and decorated the floor. The unknown assailant had silenced a vital clue. I guess Andras was tying up loose ends.
I finished my game and walked back to my ship. I updated the general and he let out a sound of absolute frustration before he threw the furniture all over the place. The decor resembled a biohazard by the time he was finished. I was redirected to a new assignment. The Intelligence squad picked up a signal in a class two death world. Apparently there was some sort of confrontation and they landed in a hostile environment. The indigenous people were hostiles who showed no mercy. The survivors are willing to trade information in exchange for rescue. The coordinates were designated as Prime Delta. The indigenous were knuckle walking brutes with super strength as an ally. I realized it was the Primers who were evicted from Arman for conducting illegal experiments. They were dropped in a rainforest planet with their equipment. The cartography department had labeled the place with a proceed with caution label in bright red and a few underlying problems that would occur upon contact. The Primers were notoriously territorial. They won't take kindly to outsiders. They are most likely to turn the intruders into fertilizer or compost. I boarded a Ripper class silent sleek projectile shaped ship named The Phantom Silhouette. I was shaking head to toe as I tried to figure out exactly how I was going to rescue these people without exposing me. I reached the homing beacon and found the ship surrounded by feral primers who were trying to pound their way in. The progress was slow but they were patient. I quietly searched the console for any useful buttons and found one. I used the stunner cannon and paralyzed the lot before making an announcement from the speakers that I am here to rescue them. A disheleved man and a woman who clearly had a broken leg walked out. I opened the ramp long enough to let them in. Then I made quick work to get us as far away as possible before helping her into the medical capsule. I pushed the bone back in and used metal rods and stripes of sheet to hold her leg in place. Then she was placed in the capsule to sleep till we reached the nearest Medical Cruiser. It was the Maelstrom. The surface looked like oil dancing on water. After they disembarked I took off towards the midnight quadrant. I met up with the Orion core which is armed forces of the united Alliance of the intergalactic republic. The ship was obsidian black with sharp barbed protrusions here and there. All of them were pointing backwards. This was the OCC Juggernaut. The crew were humanoid. They were Anubi, Valkyrie, Harbinger, Fenrir, Aether and Colossus. We were re-enforced with OCC Vindicator and the OCC Oblivion.
We are going to dissolve a blockade which has been bottlenecking a vital route which was sending supplies and moving refugees to safe zones. The nearest safe zone was The Sanctuary Colony. It was one of a thousand all over the various galaxies. This one is a ring shaped space station orbiting a forest moon. This float crate houses more than a hundred different species. All of whom that have fled genocide, ethnic cleansing, raiders and berserkers. The security flagship was given a heads up of incoming assistance. Their medical bay was prepped for casualties. We broke out of the star bridge a huge dreadnaught. This must be the Nexus Odyssey. The scourge of Delphine. I boarded my tiny fightership Storm breaker. The others created a diversion. I waited till they opened the hull to let out the Buzz cutter ships to slip in unnoticed. They resembled a marine crustacean. They had two robotic arms on either side of the ship. One was a pincer cracker and the other was shooting lasers. Mechanical legs dangling uselessly till they reach the OCC destroyers. Then the magnetized soles stuck to the surface of the ship. Then they began the tedious job of destroying the integrity of the ship. I said a small prayer for their safety as I entered the ship. I looked at the reflection. I decided that I had enough looking like strangers. I changed back to myself and proceeded to dismantle the ship. I took seismic charges and placed them in places where it would cause maximum damage. Then I took off before they exploded. The ship took me a few meters away from the ship when the explosives started going boom. I had to double my efforts to get as far as possible.
As a means of distraction I reached my ship I was listening to the others conversing as they tried to debug the destroyer. "Hey! have you heard that Nox was seen somewhere in this vicinity. She has pale yellowish skin with thin elongated eyes and short black hair." Instinctively I looked at my reflection and didn't hesitate to change my looks. I am not interested in being displayed on the list of intergalactic manhunt. My face has been a constant on that list since I had renounced my citizenship of Arcan. My face was removed from it during my reign in Hae but somehow someone reintroduced me as a person of interest after my term in office. I want to find them so I can get rid of any and all images and pertinent data they may have of mine. I know the Kovans were interested in their supersoldier project. I was not impressed. I put on my war mask and send a signal in a series of beeps to message them all to shut up. I tried to defuse the situation reminding them to stop wasting time on fake stories. Most agreed that I am not real but a few were certain. I beeped asking for proof. They mentioned this was more than four hundred years ago. I told them that no one in the galaxy is older than two hundred so they should stop displaying their stupidity. The other roared in laughter and promised to remove me from the list because according to research Arcanon has a life span of two hundred years. Which means I am decayed and have become one with the earth. The others countered that the research may be flawed and the response was that the same member has been serving the Senate for the past hundred and fifty years. He finally took a hint and shut up.
Then we came upon the next series of ships in the blockade. The first was the Blackhole Pathfinder. The next was the Eclipse Blade which was flanked by Ethereal Vanguard and the Crimson Horizon. Blackhole Pathfinder resembled a large meteor. The Eclipse Blade resembled a sword. The Ethereal Vanguard resembled a ball with spikes as a defense. The Crimson Horizon was camouflaged but still barely visible. There was debris everywhere from ships trying to break the siege. I used the magnets in the back to attract the ones with the sharpest edge of tungsten carbide. Then I flew as fast as possible and hurled them at the Pathfinder. The sharp pointy edges sliced through and ignited the fuel tank. The ship exploded taking the Crimson Horizon with it. Ethereal Vanguard tried evasive maneuvers and collided with the Eclipse Blade by accident. I beeped to remind everyone to admire the view later as we were on a schedule. We kept going till we saw the dreadship the Hyperion Avenger. It was surrounded by a dozen fighters known as the Spectral Embrace. These have similar magnets in the rear and have actually ripped off opposing ships to pieces. Hyperion Avenger has a Neuralizer which sends a series of deadly pulses that disabled all electronic devices. Which means those who get hit are their mercy. The tiny ships saw us before the dreadship did. A closer inspection I realized the Spectral Embrace is a bunch of drones. I used lasers and sliced a few. The rest were shot down by the Valkyrie Squadron. I focused on the Avenger. But it opened the star bridge and zipped off elsewhere.
We reached the Colony and saw the place was still intact but black smoke was billowing. Anubi called all nearest the medical cruisers. We had to go in and start searching for survivors. There was little to no visibility. We put on helmets and it started cycling in the air so we could breathe easy. The protrusion on the side scanned and projected a clear image into the visor. The Anubi were humanoid with the heads of sleek canine. They waited till the smoke cleared. The rest I realized resembled humans for the most part but had different skin tones with feathers or scales to accentuate their features. They directed everyone huddled together to the medical cruiser VitaMed and the infamous medical floatilla Lifelink Crusaders. As we glided through the corridor we found several people who were unconscious. Some still alive and others who were long gone. It took us several trips to drag them out and then the others stood guard as I joined the medics to assist with Triage. They seemed surprised by my medical knowledge. I had all my information redacted. So all they got was my call sign which was Wraith. After the assist we boarded the OCC Juggernaut. We were taken to a research facility that apparently created a different type of space so they can space jump and skip several galaxies and land somewhere anonymous. There is no visible dust trace to track them so we won't have a clue where they are going or if they could show up out of the blue. We were dropped off just outside of the Naru border on the Pendulum highway. We stepped into our single seaters and flew along with the others in the lane. We had to make sure our tiny little ships looked less intimidating and would blend right in without causing any sorting of suspicion. We reached the Absinthe Vixen. It is a floating science research facility that never stays in one place for much longer than a few blinks. The ship resembled a baleen with a chrome finish. It was guarded by flanks of Bruiser crafts and Ripper class bots. The bruiser crafts were wedge shaped while the Ripper bots were crescent shaped with spinning saw blades attached to both sides. Reports came of stompers destroying the military station on Omega Prime. I pretended I was a predator from Anhedonia and rammed forward. The others protested but I ignored them as I zipped past security and smashed into through a window. The shutters came down and the earsplitting alarm blared. I used the magnetic pucks to unlock the door and slip out. The corridors were lit red and they kept blinking as though they were loyal to the residents of this craft. Sometime later I found myself walking an unlocked room with many wires snaking all over the floor. I saw an archway in the middle of the room. I touch the symbols carved all over. I heard a grumble. I turned to see a elderly phylum Chordata. An Actinopterygii to be precise. It has a curved tapered head with its mouth on the bottom. It had round eyes with a dot for pupils. It had transparent fins for hands and feet. It pushed a button and the bright white light swallowed me whole.
