Hearing that, Dorothy calmed down and was ready to let things slide, but Charles still refused to concede.
"Henry, I meant what I said. If Grandma wants to kick me out of the family, I'm fine with that. After what Grandma and Grandpa have done, I don't wish to stay here any longer! The way they hurt Zoey disgusts me," Charles said.
He had promised to protect Zoey, but he did not expect his family was the ones who hurt Zoey. He was disappointed and infuriated.
Charles was a righteous man. He would rather be kicked out of the Miller family than be in cahoots with his grandparents.
