Once they were out of the basement, Zoey complained, "Leo, why do I always meet crazy people?"
"Perhaps you've used all your good luck to meet me," said Leo jokingly while pinching her nose.
Hearing that, she smirked and replied, "Leo, when did you become a narcissist?"
"Narcissist? Don't you agree that I'm telling the truth?" They looked at each other and smiled.
Leo then embraced her and asked, "Are you hungry? Do you crave anything? I can cook for you."
Zoey immediately responded earnestly, "I want cake. Is that okay?"
Leo frowned. After contemplating for a moment, he asked, "Do you really want to eat cake?"
Zoey replied stoically, "Yes. I feel disgusted after seeing how shameless Ava is. I want to eat something sweet to lighten my mood."
Even though Leo knew that she was finding excuses, he didn't want to disappoint her. In the end, he agreed. "I'll bake a cake for you. In the meantime, you can chat with Grandpa and Grandma."
