Naomi went to the restroom with the medical kit in her hands and locked the door behind her.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror gloomily. She then raised her hand and touched her wound, her eyes filled with hostility and hatred.
Naomi did not understand why Maddison treated her and Nora so differently despite both of them being her granddaughters.
To Maddison, Nora was the apple of her eyes and would never bear to see Nora suffer the slightest bit of hardship. As for Naomi, she had always been chastised since she was young. When Maddison was in a bad mood, she would call Naomi a jinx and blame her for her parents' death.
The truth was her parents died because of an accident. It had nothing to do with her. Yet, Maddison shamelessly put all the blame on Naomi, who was barely five years old at that time.
Hence, Naomi slowly became twisted from the cold treatment.
