Chapter 304 - Chapter 304: The Thirteen Flame-Chasers

[It all lines up, doesn't it?]

[No wonder it's called the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. I get it—it's the story of Elysia gradually bringing everyone together, classic shonen vibes!]

[Now that you mention it, I understand. It's probably Elysia searching for the final paradise, gathering companions along the way, defeating strong enemies, and becoming the freest woman on these seas, the Eighth Hokage in everyone's mouths?]

[What's with this mess? Don't tell me, if they really wrote this story, I'd be pretty interested in watching it.]

Along her journey, Elysia met all sorts of people and events.

The warmth of humanity, and its malice.

She couldn't understand why people were so contradictory, sometimes both traits appearing in the same person.

After who-knows-how-long, the girl grew taller. She returned to the mountaintop where she once stood.

"As expected, the stories were right—the Earth is round♪"

"As expected, the stories were right—paradise must be created by your own hands♪"

Elysia grew into a graceful young woman, joining an organization to connect with companions she met along the way—Moth of the Flame-Chasers!

Then came the second act.

Elysia followed a blue-haired adult man. "Is this the armory? I thought there'd be giant mechanical titans♪"

"Hahaha." The man smiled faintly. "Technically, the Flame-Chasers are a military-industrial complex, but our enemies have shifted from humans to non-human creatures."

Through their conversation, some world-building details were gradually revealed.

Like "Herrscher," "Honkai Energy," "Genetic Warriors"…

Just then.

A green-haired woman interrupted their talk. "I'm here to inspect the Second Herrscher's remains."

The green-haired woman glanced at Elysia. "Who's this? Haven't seen her before. New recruit?"

Elysia enthusiastically waved her right hand. "I'm Elysia, nice to meet you♪"

The green-haired woman snorted coldly. "Listen up, rookie. One piece of advice: don't try to get close to me. It's definitely not good for you."

"That'd be such a shame. I haven't even gotten to know you yet. If I don't connect with you now, I'll completely miss my chance to understand you♪"

A blush flashed across the green-haired woman's face. "Weirdo!"

From that moment, the people who would leave vibrant marks on Elysia's life began to appear one by one.

Elysia spoke to a gray-haired girl in a cell. "The first step to building trust is choosing to believe. So, how about it? Will you join us, Vill-V♪"

"Kosmo?" Elysia leaned toward a young man. "I know you—you're the boy Kevin made cry four times in one day."

"Spare me…"

"You say we're sisters?"

"Yup♪ You've got pink hair, I've got pink hair. No matter where we go, people will think we're sisters♪"

"Wow, Griseo!" Elysia's hands kept rubbing a young girl's face. "How are you so cute? Totally different from your dad, so awesome♪"

Elysia stood before a nun.

The nun paused, then asked, "You're not afraid of me?"

"You don't think just because you're pretty, I wouldn't dare approach you, do you♪? Nope, I love cute girls the most♪"

A young doctor looked at the tearful girl before him. "So, Miss Elysia, may I ask something? I don't understand—what does Kevin's weakness have to do with your condition?"

"Sigh, Doctor, you don't get it♪" Elysia cried dramatically, her acting so poor the doctor almost believed her.

"It's all a maiden's heart sickness♪"

Then came a masked man.

A formally dressed member calling themselves "Hua."

A girl caught doing something bad, holding a cute hairpin.

The story neared its end.

Elysia looked at the stern man before her. "So, Su takes the seventh spot. No objections, right♪?"

The camera slowly panned up, revealing a man who looked nearly identical to Su Chen, hands crossed over his chest, his eyes devoid of excess emotion.

[Holy crap, is that Caelus? Sneaking in private goods?]

[Shouldn't be. This guy's called Kevin.]

[Right, I remember something like this happened in the interactive city. A bunch of nosy fans planned to ambush Su Chen, but instead of gray hair, they saw a white-haired young man.]

[Then what?]

[Then the white-haired guy took on 50 of them and beat them all down.]

[???]

[You said white hair? Could it be this guy?]

[Damn, coming out this strong?]

"Elysia." Kevin slowly raised his eyes. "What exactly are you trying to do?"

"I thought you'd have guessed by now, after staying silent so long♪" Elysia gazed at Kevin intently. "We're about to part ways, but this is also a chance to gain more control over some major decisions♪"

"What I'm planning… is both a team of heroes and humanity's final line of defense♪"

"The Thirteen Flame-Chasers♪"

With rousing background music, the video came to an end.

[Huh???]

[Bro, you're playing like this?]

[Goddamn miHoYo cliffhanger!]

[Heh, I'm pissed!]

[Teasing us for half a year, finally something small, and this is it?]

[Mainly that last line, "humanity's final line of defense." The nature of this story is starting to take shape.]

[Heroic epic? Now I'm not sleepy, but how long till it's filmed?]

[No idea! It's so frustrating!]

Seeing the audience's reactions, Su Chen nodded.

Good, the angrier, the better.

I can't wait to deliver the final lesson.

Ahem…

No, I shouldn't be so dark. I just want to get the web series out.

Otherwise, how can people in this world relate to my pain?

Feel the suffering I went through back then.

Heh heh heh, finish the final lesson properly, then listen to what Apocalypse has to say.

I'm such a good person!

Meanwhile.

A blue-haired girl stood on the edge of a fountain's stone wall.

She leaped gracefully, dancing elegantly, the fountain's spray adding a hazy, divine aura.

"How's that? Don't I look like a big star?" The girl spoke to the blond young man below.

"Yes, yes, big star, now come down." The blond young man nodded. "This is the interactive city. It's not safe, and it won't look good if someone sees you."

"No." The girl kept dancing forward, but slipped and fell from the height.

Fortunately, the young man reacted quickly, catching her in a princess carry, his words carrying no blame, only concern. "Big star, be more careful next time."

"Hmph. You actually care?" The girl slowly got down, looking at the surrounding buildings. "So this is the interactive city? Aether, we've gotta have fun and spend all of Neuvillette's money."

"Sigh." Aether patted his forehead. "Just don't spend it all on ice cream. My stomach can't handle it."

PS: Genshin is included, because we've got everyone else, just missing Genshin.

But Genshin won't be turned into a web series, just here for some interaction.
