Chapter 483 - Chapter 480: Learning to Meow

In the Ancient Sea, on the Central Continent, stood the Great Pyramid.

This was the only landmass in the Ancient Sea, and it was also where Leviathan's palace was located.

After venting some frustration, Leviathan suddenly sensed a familiar presence.

"Roy Black? That guy has the nerve to show up on my turf?"

Leviathan was about to get angry, but then it recalled the news about the new King of Hell being born, and doubt crept in.

"No way Roy Black became the King of Hell. Impossible, absolutely impossible! That guy's as righteous as an angel—no, wait, he is a half-angel. How could he possibly become the King of Hell?"

But then it thought of Lucifer, who was cast into Hell by God without committing any real sins and ended up wielding the Authority of Pride, becoming one of the Seven Demon Kings.

If you tallied up Lucifer's "evil deeds," there really weren't any.

So, Roy becoming Satan didn't seem that far-fetched.

Leviathan hesitated but decided to test the waters. It sent out an invisible ripple through the pyramid, a signal only its descendants could understand. Translated, it meant:

"My children, I command you to capture Roy Black and bring him to me!"

All sorts of sea monsters and giant serpents living around the Central Continent stirred into action. They responded to Leviathan's command, scouring the area for someone named Roy Black.

Meanwhile, Roy had no idea he'd been put on a wanted list. He was busy eating roasted snake with Eluresha.

Thanks to their time at the bottom of Hell, Eluresha had started eating regular food, moving away from her reliance on baby milkshakes and "pink mood." It was like a human baby being weaned off milk, though the little succubus still loved her baby milkshakes. Whenever she got the chance, she'd cling to Roy, begging for one.

Today seemed like a perfect opportunity, so Eluresha barely touched the snake meat before cozying up to Roy.

"Daddy, I really want a baby milkshake today!"

"Uh, is that a good idea?"

Roy hesitated. The Fancy Scepter was right there, and feeding Eluresha a baby milkshake would be like broadcasting live to an audience.

Sure, there'd been a few accidental "live streams" before, but those weren't intentional. Sometimes Roy just got caught up in the moment and didn't notice his surroundings.

This was different. The Fancy Scepter clearly had human-like intelligence, and Roy wasn't keen on giving it a show.

"Daddy, it's been forever since I had a baby milkshake!"

During their time in the Dark Abyss, Roy was either on the move or resting. Even meals were eaten on the go, so Eluresha hadn't had a baby milkshake in ages. She'd even run out of her stash of pink mood.

For her to hold out this long before asking showed serious restraint for a little succubus.

"Well…" Roy glanced at the Fancy Scepter stuck in the ground.

Eluresha followed his gaze and immediately understood her dad's concern.

"Why are you two staring at me?" the Fancy Scepter asked, confused. As a scepter, it probably had no clue what Roy and Eluresha were up to.

Eluresha yanked the scepter out of the ground.

"Mr. Scepter, Daddy and I have some stuff to do, so could you hang out in the jungle for a bit?"

With that, she darted into the jungle, found a tree hollow, and tucked the scepter inside.

"Hey! What's so secret you can't do it in front of me? What's going on? Ugh, this place is filthy! Eluresha, I'm Satan's scepter—can't you put me somewhere cleaner?"

The little succubus didn't care. She was too eager to bother with the Fancy Scepter's feelings.

"Mr. Scepter, just chill here for a bit. I'll be back soon!"

"Fine, I'll tough it out, but five minutes max!"

Five minutes? Yeah, right. Five minutes was barely enough for Roy to warm up. This was at least a two-hour job, minimum.

The Fancy Scepter had no idea it was in for a long wait in that dirty tree hollow, still grumbling about the awful environment.

"Should've stayed put! This place is gonna ruin me! Gotta figure out how to maintain myself—I can't afford to chip or rust!"

Meanwhile, Eluresha had started using another scepter.

This one had impressive stats too, though it was plain, no gems or anything. But Eluresha didn't mind—she loved this scepter and couldn't get enough of it.

With her persistent efforts, she finally got her beloved baby milkshake. When she tasted the fresh milkshake, she was so happy she teared up.

Roy patted her little head, a mix of helplessness and affection on his face.

"Eluresha, do you have to be so dramatic?"

Her cheeks were puffed out from the milkshake. Roy hadn't used the scepter in a while, so the portion was a bit… generous. It nearly overwhelmed the little succubus.

But Eluresha was thrilled, her eyes crescent-shaped with joy. Even when her mouth was too full, she refused to spit out any of the milkshake.

It took her a few minutes to swallow it all down before she could speak.

"It's been so long since I had one! I want more!"

So, Eluresha had two more rounds of baby milkshake until she was stuffed.

But when one mouth was full, she still had another one ready to go, right?

Soon, the small island echoed with the sound of a kitten meowing—loudly. Even the Fancy Scepter, stuck in its tree hollow, could hear it.

This puzzled the scepter.

"Cats in the Ancient Sea? I thought this place only had reptiles, amphibians, and some fish."

Just as it spoke, the scepter sensed something approaching and quickly shut up, lying still like an ordinary stick in the hollow.

Sure enough, a chameleon, perfectly blended with its surroundings, crept up to the hollow, peering around as if searching for whatever was talking.

The Fancy Scepter got lucky. In the Ancient Sea, the hellish creatures were more beast than brain, so they wouldn't care about a fancy-looking stick. If this were another layer of Hell, like the Golden Labyrinth, the greedy demons there would've snatched a gem-encrusted golden scepter in a heartbeat.

The chameleon spat, as if scoffing, then crawled away.

Once it was gone, the Fancy Scepter let out a sigh of relief before getting mad.

"Stupid chameleon, dissing me? No taste! I'm Satan's scepter, for crying out loud!"

Chameleon: If I actually wanted you, you'd be complaining about that too!

The scepter kept its voice low, wary of attracting more jungle creatures.

But even with its hushed tone, something massive slithered past the hollow.

"Damn it! This place is too dangerous! Where's Eluresha? And why are those cat meows getting louder?"

The kitten's meows were indeed getting louder—and milkier.

They say cats only meow when they're young or around humans. With other cats, it's usually hissing.

So why was this little kitten meowing so loudly?

Because the cat teaser's stats were just too wild, scaring the kitten into nonstop meowing.

Let's learn to meow together, meow meow meow meow meow…

The Fancy Scepter, enduring the strange kitten noises, started to sense something was off. More and more creatures were gathering, even burrowing up from underground.

They were all heading toward Roy and Eluresha.

"What's going on? Are they all drawn to the cat meows? This doesn't feel good!"

Roy and Eluresha, however, were oblivious to the growing audience of creatures. They were in a critical moment, completely focused on each other.

"Papa, I'm so happy!" Eluresha said, tongue out, hearts practically popping from her eyes.

Roy just kept going, head down.

Suddenly, he sensed danger and leaped up, just as a massive sandworm burst from the beach below, nearly swallowing them whole.

"That was close!"

Roy was startled, but for Eluresha, it wasn't just a scare—she seemed to have passed out from fright, her body stiff.

Then a wyvern swooped down, aiming to snatch the airborne Roy and Eluresha.

"Eluresha, wake up! We're in trouble!"

But Eluresha just drooled, completely unresponsive.

With no choice, Roy transformed into his Nephilim form, holding Eluresha tightly as he dodged the wyvern's attack.

But more Ancient Sea creatures kept appearing—flying, crawling, swimming, all coming out of nowhere.

If someone from Guangdong saw this, they'd be thrilled—talk about a feast!

Roy sensed something was wrong. There were way too many monsters.

When he and Eluresha had swum to this island, they'd only encountered one black snake. Eluresha hadn't run into anything in the jungle either, so the creature density here shouldn't be this high. Why were so many massive Ancient Sea beasts suddenly showing up?

None of the monsters were smaller than the black snake Roy had eaten earlier. One of them, a giant dinosaur emerging from the sea, was over 150 feet tall, like something straight out of a Godzilla movie.

Wait, no—this dinosaur was charging some kind of energy in its mouth. Was this actually Godzilla?

The next second, it unleashed a terrifying blue beam at Roy. Holding Eluresha, whose body was still clinging tightly to him, Roy couldn't dodge in time. He countered with chaos energy beams from his eyes.

(This is the vibe—Superman vs. Godzilla, beam showdown!)

The gray and blue beams collided midair.

Visually, the Godzilla-like creature's blue beam was massive, dwarfing Roy's frame and even his chaos energy beam. But chaos energy was high-tier stuff, so despite the size difference, the beams were evenly matched.

As they clashed, other monsters tried to sneak attack Roy.

The fastest was a giant toad bursting from the ground. Its tongue shot out, sticking to Roy's gray wings, trying to drag him into its maw.

Focused on the dinosaur, Roy didn't notice the toad's attack and was yanked to the ground.

"Damn it!"

"Ahh!" Eluresha's scream rang out as the impact hit her weak spot hard.

Roy quickly pulled the Leviathan Axe from his inventory, slicing the tongue off his wing. Then he conjured a special chaos energy armor to protect himself and Eluresha.

There was no separating from Eluresha now—he had to fight with her as an "external accessory."

Roy's ambush pissed off the sea dinosaur too. It didn't stop firing its beam but swept it around, blasting other Ancient Sea creatures trying to steal its prize.

The island was nearly sliced in half by the blue beam. The Fancy Scepter, almost caught in the sweep, was practically in tears.

"Wah! Lord Satan, take me home! The outside world is too scary!"

The blue beam took out a bunch of creatures, including the sandworm and toad, but a few tough ones survived.

"This is getting interesting!"

Roy activated Blood Fury and War Domain, fully entering combat mode. He hurled the Leviathan Axe at the giant dinosaur.

Crack!

The axe broke the sound barrier, hurtling toward the dinosaur's head with unstoppable force.

Sensing danger, the creature redirected its blue beam to block the axe.

Matter vs. energy in a head-on clash!

The Leviathan Axe wasn't ordinary. The blue beam slowed it down but couldn't stop it. The beam even split, like a stream forking.

But the axe, thrown with Roy's strength, eventually ran out of momentum and fell to the beach, turning the sand to glass.

The dinosaur couldn't keep up its beam either—it needed a breather.

Roy reached to recall the axe but got burned by its heat, dropping it back onto the beach.

Normally, a few hundred degrees wouldn't faze Roy—Eluresha's fever had hit similar temps before. But this axe was probably over 10,000 degrees, too hot even for his current physique.

No axe? Fine, fists it is.

Roy sped toward the dinosaur. Compared to its massive size, he was like an ant charging a human.

"Take my regular punch!"
