Chapter 10: The Iron Demon & The Infinity Engine
Year 753 (DB Calendar) — The Battle of King Piccolo
The skies over the ruined wasteland were dark and heavy with smoke.
Tony Brief hovered mid-air in his gold-and-silver Mark VII Nanotech Armor, his thrusters humming softly. Below him, Goku—battered and bruised—stood alongside Krillin and Master Roshi, who was holding a sacred rice cooker inscribed with sealing charms.
In front of them stood King Piccolo, his green skin vein-popped with rage as he charged a massive sphere of explosive, dark green Ki between his palms.
"Fools! You think a metal suit and a group of children can stop a Demon King?!" Piccolo roared, hurling his signature move—the Explosive Demon Wave—straight at the group.
Tony's eyes glinted behind his faceplate. Through his father's Force Control training, his perception had heightened to absurd levels. Instead of dodging, Tony's HUD analyzed the frequency, density, and flow of Piccolo's Ki blast in real-time.
"Re-routing energy pathways," Tony muttered calmly. "Adapting frequency... copying signature!"
Taking a page right out of Kayden's book of technique theft, Tony didn't just block the attack—he used his armor's nanotech conductors to absorb the raw kinetic energy, converting it through his own Force Control into a dense, crackling spiral of repulsor Ki.
"Let's see how you like your own move, ugly!" Tony smirked.
BOOM!
From his repulsor palms, Tony fired a massive, spiraling beam of golden-green energy that smashed directly through Piccolo's blast, blinding the Demon King and blasting him straight onto his back.
"Now, Master Roshi!" Goku yelled.
"EVIL CONTAINMENT WAVE!" Roshi shouted, unleashing the ultimate sealing technique. A swirling vortex of green energy snared the stunned Piccolo, dragging him screaming into the rice cooker before Roshi slammed the lid shut and sealed it with a talisman.
Silence fell over the battlefield.
Tony landed smoothly beside Goku, retracting his faceplate with a cocky grin. "Not bad for a tech guy, right?"
Goku's eyes were huge. "Whoa, Tony! You copied his blast on the spot! That was amazing!"
The Mystery of Cursed Energy
Back at Capsule Corp, the danger had passed, and life returned to its peaceful rhythm.
Up in his high-tech underground laboratory, Ron sat cross-legged on a hovering platform, experimenting with his Gojo Satoru Template (now at 80% Synchronization).
He wanted to share his new power with Hazel so she could have an extra layer of self-defense. However, as he tried to guide Hazel through generating Cursed Energy (CE), he hit a massive wall.
"Honey, I'm trying..." Hazel chuckled, wiping a sweat drop from her forehead as she sat opposite him. "But I just feel... nothing. It's not like the Ki you taught Tony."
Ron used his Six Eyes to inspect her energy pathways down to the subatomic level. He suddenly realized the fundamental difference.
Ki was the life force born from the body, mind, and spirit—something every living being in the Dragon Ball world naturally produced. But Cursed Energy was different. It was an energy source born entirely from negative human emotions—fear, grief, anger, and stress. In a world without cursed spirits or Jujutsu sorcerers, normal people simply couldn't tap into or generate refined Cursed Energy on their own.
"Ah, I see," Ron murmured, lowering his blindfold. "It's like trying to run an electric car on diesel fuel. The architecture just isn't built for it."
The Infinity Engine
While Cursed Energy was nearly impossible for others in this world to obtain, for Ron, the story was completely different.
Thanks to the Gojo Template combined with his Six Eyes, Ron possessed the Limitless. The Six Eyes allowed him to manipulate energy at an atomic level with an energy loss rate so close to zero it was practically infinitesimal.
Ron held out his palm.
Sparks of Kayden's Golden Lightning, Frankenstein's Dark Aura, Pluton's Gravitational Force, and Gojo's Cursed Energy began to swirl together in perfect, effortless harmony.
Because of the Six Eyes' absolute efficiency, every power system Ron owned—whether it was Haki, Ki, Dark Aura, or Cursed Energy—had effectively become an infinite pool. He could spam Red, Blue, Hollow Purple, or mountain-cleaving Haki slashes forever without ever running out of stamina or energy.
A small, dark purple orb of Hollow Purple mixed with golden lightning floated serenely above his fingertip, perfectly controlled, completely silent.
"Well," Ron chuckled, closing his fist as the terrifying sphere harmlessly dissolved into nothingness. "I guess I don't have to worry about running out of mana ever again."
Hazel smiled, walking over and placing a cup of hot coffee in his hands. "So, Mr. Infinite Energy... are you coming upstairs for dinner, or are you going to keep playing with glowing marbles?"
Ron transformed into his chubby orange cat form on the spot, hopping into her arms with a happy purr.
"Meow! (Lead the way, my love! Seafood night!)"
