Chapter 287 - When The True Body Steps In

Legs growing from its head, limbs sprawled low, heavy armor, and those flared ears stood out clearly. He chuckled at the sight. "Well done, Baragon, you've really grown. You're even stronger than Anguirus, even though you barely had any screen time and were easily beaten down in Diablo."

"But now you can act as a hidden fisherman behind the scenes. Not bad at all." His memory of Baragon was of an old underground monster and an early casualty among the three guardian beasts in Diablo. The only clear impression was that it had been weak, embarrassing, and rarely seen afterward.

Next was the one fighting Space. At first glance, Belial found the beetle-like armored figure unfamiliar, but after watching newer films in recent years, it clicked. "So even Megalon shows up here, and you're using the second version of those skills."

He laughed softly. "This armor burst gives me strong Kamen Rider vibes. Do all you beetles love doing this kind of thing?" Against fast opponents like this, a Space template with built-in detection made things much easier, and its flight speed was more than enough to keep up in aerial combat.

The last one was the most interesting. At first, he thought it was just another swarm or something like Gray Wind, but once it formed into a greedy giant insect, he understood immediately. "Well, I didn't expect Super-Xianglong to be here, and with this many bugs too."

Belial looked at the endless swarms being burned by raging fire. To be honest, he had originally sent a Rodan Clone simply because fire should be good for killing insects, and Rodan had large-scale area attacks. The results were far better than expected.

The other two fights were already going back and forth, but this side stayed firmly on top. The greedy giant insect was chased nonstop and burned miserably. It made him think of an obscure idea he had heard before.

"Come to think of it, I heard that Super-Xianglong counts as food for Rodan. That setting can't actually be real, can it?" He shook his head lightly. "No point verifying it now. I've watched enough, so it's about time I moved my own body."

At this point, Belial decided it was time to act. The Clone were enough to restrain and probe these three predators, but if the enemies sensed danger and fled, it would be a huge loss. The clones were not strong enough to completely pin them down without any chance of escape.

The true deciding factor still had to be the strongest main body stepping in personally. With the clones so close by, Belial could already feel what level he would reach once he recalled them. He judged it calmly in his mind.

"About ten, give or take a little. The small goal is basically done." His tone was relaxed. "So next…"

A vast blockbuster shadow peeled away from the Void and gathered into the largest beast present. Three blood-red Rift eyes lit up, and its presence instantly became impossible to ignore. The three Crimson God who were busy fighting the clones all sensed something at once and turned their heads in the same direction.

"You noticed? That's fine," Belial said casually. "I don't really care that the camouflage is broken. You're going to die soon anyway, so if possible, just stand there."

"I'll try to send you on your way as fast as I can."

What followed could be skipped in a simple and rough way. There was no need to drag it out, because the fight had already turned into a one-sided crush. What had once been close enough to count as evenly matched became pure slaughter the moment Belial entered the field.

A crimson giant beast was struck squarely on the head by a far larger black shadow and sent flying, its body crashing down and triggering a small earthquake. That was not the end of it, because Belial calmly walked forward again. The gap in strength was obvious from the first blow.

With a furious roar, the massive Baragon was lifted up by Belial with one hand, grabbed by its single horn. It was slammed casually into a mountain peak within its own Divine Kingdom, and dense cracking sounds of bones being Rend echoed out. The sheer force made Baragon cough up blood as it hit.

Its mouthful of fangs had already been shattered earlier by a Space Blast Punch, yet it still bared what remained and spat flames desperately. Unfortunately, high-temperature fire was nothing new to Belial, who did not even bother responding. He kept smashing Baragon again and again until it could no longer move.

In the end, only a head was left. He had used a bit too much force, and the neck and the rest of the body had been completely torn apart. Out of kindness, Belial added a few Fusion Reaction Beam to reduce the remaining parts to dust, which made things much cleaner.

As for the remaining head, he flicked it aside with his tail toward the nearby Planetary Avatar. The Planetary Avatar calmly held it, accelerated its molecules and layered Gravity Manipulation at the most microscopic level, grinding it away completely to make sure it was truly dead. The red land was now covered only by a lush forest of Crystal.

"It used to take some effort to fight like this, but now it is much easier," Belial said. He paused, then added, "By the way, where did the soul go?" He rummaged through the ashes, found nothing, and turned to the Planetary Avatar. "Did you skim it off for yourself?"

Receiving a look that clearly said he was an idiot, Belial decided to deal with the remaining two enemies instead. He did not have time to worry about this for now, since even if they ran, they could not get far. At worst, he could scan the entire area later and find them.

The next target was Megalon. This one was fast, hit hard, and was tough, but Space held the advantage of terrain. As long as it came close, it got shot at.

With Photon Reflection Shield activated, Space stayed in place like a stationary turret and unleashed relentless bombardment. The merciless Coronal Heat Ray Emitter hammered Megalon so hard it could barely lift its head. Any attempt at counterattack achieved little more than scratching before it had to retreat immediately.

If it lingered, it would be caught by Gravity Manipulation and then treated to a full set of Crystal and Solar Corona Line, which would peel its skin even if it did not kill it outright. Still, Space could not finish it quickly, because Megalon was too fast and slippery. The two sides fell into a stalemate, with Space holding the upper hand but lacking a decisive blow.

And now, that decisive force arrived. Two heavy impacts sounded as massive, ferocious figures descended. Megalon turned its head and was instantly shocked.

It could no longer sense Baragon at all, and its heart sank. Even so, a vicious glint flashed in its awareness, and it showed no fear. Its wings vibrated violently as armor plates continued to fall away.

Its speed surged again. In the same instant, Belial and the other two Clone were struck by countless drill attacks from every angle. Belial remained completely calm.

He simply activated his shield, and the scene turned into a blockbuster of sparks and explosive impacts. Countless afterimages were pierced and destroyed by the flying drills, yet the three massive figures with shields stood unmoved. The attacks were nothing more than shallow scratches.

Megalon did not stop. It had to maintain this speed to keep all three at bay, and it knew that slowing down even a little meant being caught and blasted apart on the spot. It had seen exactly how Baragon died, and had no idea why Authority was useless against these monsters.

While trying to stall, Megalon felt its body growing heavier again. At first it assumed this was the familiar Gravity Manipulation from Space. Then it realized the gravity was far beyond anything before.

The crushing force made its muscles tense and its bones creak. It was forced to slow down, then plant its feet into the ground, carving a trench dozens of kilometers long. The ground collapsed inward, forming a massive crater, with countless Rift spreading outward as overwhelming power converged.

"I am telling you, for runners like this, you just slam them into a deep pit," Belial said casually. "I might not run faster than you, but if I slow you down, that works too, right?" The gravity intensified again.

Gravity Manipulation multiplied threefold, coming from Belial and the two Clone. With the added weight of his true body, the pressure pinned Megalon in place, leaving it unable to move. From here on, this was Belial's fight alone.

Two roars collided head-on. The drills on Megalon's arms compressed inward, wound tight like springs, as glowing Shard fragments poured out like gas. The compressed drills erupted forward with devastating force.
