But alas!! Defeating the High-Lich was too taxing, and he had lost all of his energy after the battle, losing consciousness temporarily.
That probably allowed the remaining 4th-phase Dreadborns to kill most of the students. Only the strongest few survived, thanks to the Valkyries' overwhelming strength.
At least, that's what he was told.
