Chapter 120 - The Truth is Satanael

[Last Episode: They moved together and the Primus World watched and the cosmology watched and lastly the fight between two people who had nothing when they started and built everything from it, and the being who was remaking everything so he could build something worth having—Reached the moment that had been building since the seal broke]

Chapter 120, Episode 120

[Leo and Isaac were still fighting alongside each other against Voriath when it happened]

[Voriath blocked a joint strike from both of them — the covenant sword and Isaac's fire meeting the Chaos Nihilikinesis Sword at the same instant — and instead of following through with a counter, he held the position]

[Looked at both of them]

Voriath: You still don't understand what you're fighting.

Leo: We understand enough.

Voriath: No. You understand that I'm strong. You don't understand what I am. What you are. I think you should know before this goes further.

Isaac: We don't need a lecture.

Voriath: You need this one.

[He lowered the sword slightly]

Voriath: Hyper species. All of us — me, my parents, my subordinates. You've been fighting Hypers this entire war and you don't know what that word means.

Leo: Then tell us.

Voriath: We are born in the space between the eleventh and twelfth dimension. Not the eleventh. Not the twelfth. Between them. The eleventh dimension holds everything measurable — every universe, every timeline, every variation of existence that can be counted or mapped. The twelfth is what contains the eleventh. Not a higher floor in the same building. The space the building sits in.

[Leo was quiet, listening.]

Voriath: And between those two — not inside either one — that is where Hypers are born. A Hyper does not come from a universe. A Hyper comes from the gap between the thing that holds all universes and the thing that holds that.

Isaac: That doesn't sound like something that should be able to exist.

Voriath: It shouldn't. That's what makes us what we are. Every Hyper is born with both a soul and a core — two separate anchors to existence, layered on top of each other. Kill the body, the core survives. Erase the core, the soul survives. To end a Hyper permanently, both must go at the same time, from a level of erasure that most beings in any universe will never reach. We govern hyperspace and hypertime. Our power scales with higher-dimensional geometry — meaning the more dimensions a fight touches, the stronger a Hyper becomes, without limit. There is no ceiling to that scaling. Only how many dimensions you can reach.

Leo: And some Hypers exist outside spatial dimensions entirely.

Voriath: Yes. The strongest of us. Beings who don't occupy the eleven-twelve gap anymore but have moved past it — who exist without needing a dimension to exist in at all. My parents are among them. Hyper species existed before the first multiverse was built. Before the Primus World. Before the concept of 'a universe' was decided as the basic unit of reality. We are older than the framework you live inside.

[The three of them stood in the open space, the fight paused around this.]

Voriath: This matters because of what you are, Leo.

Leo: Me??

Voriath: Satanael did not choose you by accident.

[Leo went very still.]

Voriath: Long before this cosmology existed in its current form, Satanael held a position among the Hyper species. Not a soldier. Not a servant. The chosen entity — the one being every Hyper recognized as the bridge between what we were and what the framework needed us to be. Every Hyper answered to what Satanael represented.

Isaac: Represented what.

Voriath: Hope. The idea that a Hyper's power didn't have to end in dominance. That existence could be led instead of ruled. You are the ultimate chosen one. Not chosen for strength. Chosen because Satanael looked across every possible vessel and decided you were the one who would carry hope into every universe, as its savior, if it came to that.

[Leo's jaw tightened.]

Voriath: Once, a long time ago, Satanael's vessel led all Hypers. Held real authority over the entire species. And that made my parents furious. Ivaraj and Starix. They believed the position had been corrupted. That the previous vessel had turned a bridge into a throne. So they banished Satanael's humanity — its human form — from the Hyper entity entirely.

Leo: Banished.

Voriath: Cast it out. Stripped of its authority, its place among us, everything. And Satanael, alone, without the entity that had defined it for longer than your kind has had language — it did the only thing left to it. It chose its first core.

[A silence.]

Voriath: You. It chose you. Which makes you the official vessel of Satanael and, by extension, the core of every Hyper that has ever existed.

[Leo looked down at the sword in his hand. At the light in it.]

Voriath: That is why I want you dead, Leo. Not because you're in my way. Because you are sitting on the throne that belongs to my family. My parents built this framework after they cast out the old order. I am the rightful heir to what came after. And you — a boy who fell into the Chaos Universe with no idea what he carried — you hold the seat that should have returned to me.

Leo: I didn't ask for this.

Voriath: I know. That doesn't change what you're holding.

[Leo's hands were shaking, but not from fear.]

Leo: If I'm the core of every Hyper — if Satanael can't exist without a vessel — then what happens if you erase me.

Voriath: You already understand the answer. You've felt it since I started talking.

Leo: If you erase me, Satanael is erased with me. Since we're bound.

Voriath: Yes.

Leo: But you said Satanael can't die.

Voriath: Satanael cannot die because it exists outside the Hyper entity and outside the twelve-dimensional realm entirely. It is not bound to that structure the way the rest of us are. It exists on its own. Which means—

Leo: Which means if you kill me, Satanael doesn't go with me. It just… loses its vessel.

Voriath: Yes.

[Leo looked at his own hands. At everything he understood now sitting heavy in his chest.]

Leo: So I really am a Hyper. No matter what I thought I was before all this.

Voriath: You have been since the moment Satanael chose you.

[Isaac was watching Leo's face carefully]

Leo: And if I go—

Voriath: Satanael survives. Alone. The way it survived the banishment. It would need to choose again.

[The words sat between them.]

Leo: That's a lot to carry into a fight.

Voriath: I told you because you should know exactly what you are before this ends. Whatever comes next.

[He raised the Chaos Nihilikinesis Sword again.]

Voriath: Now that you understand. Let's finish this properly.

[They fought a while longer]

[It was not the same fight as before]

[Leo moved with the specific weight of someone processing something enormous while his body kept doing what it had trained a lifetime to do. Isaac stayed close to him, reading the shift in his friend without needing to ask about it directly]

[Voriath pressed and then Voriath decided he had seen enough]

Voriath: It's time, Leo.

Leo: Time for what.

Voriath: For me to finish what I started when I told you the truth.

[He moved inside the exact space Leo occupied, the Chaos Nihilikinesis Sword already through him before either of them registered the swing had happened.]

Voriath — Categorical Erasure. Complete.

[Not the framework-component removal from before. All of it]

[Leo felt himself go, blood came up in his throat and out past his lips, dark and real, and he staggered but didn't fall — not yet — and he looked at Isaac]

Leo: Isaac.

Isaac: Leo—

Leo: I leave this battle in your hands.

[He smiled. Small. Genuine.]

Leo: Go on without me.

[Then his knees gave out.]

[Satanael]

「You have officially died. Your journey ends here.」

[The voice came from everywhere and nowhere, distorted, wrong in a way Leo had never heard it before.]

[Satanael]

「Every power. Every ability. Erratically erased. Voriath's erasure — too high. Too high. Error. Error. Error.」

Leo: Satanael— What the heck is going!!

[Satanael]

「Error error error—」

Leo: Satanael, what do I do—

[Satanael]

「Error—」

Leo: Satanael!

[Nothing.]

[Just error, repeating, breaking down into static, into silence]

[Leo felt his own body start to come apart pieces of him turning translucent, cracking like glass, drifting away in fragments too small to hold onto]

[He grabbed at his own arm and watched his fingers pass through where solid should have been.]

Leo: Satanael, please—

[Nothing answered.]

[He was fumbling now, panicking]

[And then—]

[Satanael]

「...Leo.」

[The voice came back. Whole. Steady. Present in a way it hadn't been in years.]

Leo: Satanael—?

[Satanael]

「I'm here.」

Leo: You went quiet. You said error. You—

[Satanael]

「Voriath was right.」

Leo: What?

[Satanael]

「What he said. About me. About the banishment, about what I did to the last vessel, about everything that came after. He was right. I have been dragging you into something too large for you and calling it purpose. I have been pathetic, Leo. Hiding behind a voice with no face, letting you carry a war I started centuries before you were born.」

[Leo, in whatever space he now occupied — not quite anywhere, not quite nowhere — closed his hand into a fist]

Leo: Stop.

[Satanael]

「Leo—」

Leo: I said stop.

[A pause.]

Leo: You didn't drag me into anything. I was already gone before you found me. My family was already dead. I was already alone in a universe that didn't know my name. You didn't ruin my life by choosing me. You gave the wreckage somewhere to go.

[Silence, listening.]

Leo: You want to know what I remember from before you? I remember getting laughed at in the Chaos Universe because I didn't understand the language yet. I remember five kids cornering me behind a market stall because I looked like an easy target. I remember being twelve and having nothing — no guild, no name, no source I understood — and being so tired of being nothing that I would have taken any kind of somebody.

[Satanael]

「Leo—」

Leo: And then you were there. Not talking. Just present. Like a fire in a cold room. And every single time I got back up after those kids knocked me down, that was you and me deciding together that I wasn't going to stay nothing.

[A long quiet.]

Leo: You've been calling yourself pathetic for the last thirty seconds. I need you to stop, because you built the Eastern World with me. You held me together during every year I didn't have anyone else. That's not dragging someone down. That's the only reason I'm still someone worth talking about.

[Satanael]

「...I have never heard you say any of that out loud.」

Leo: You never asked.

[Satanael]

「I suppose I didn't.」

[A pause, and something in the quality of the space around them shifted, warmed.]

Leo: Now show yourself.

[Satanael]

「What?」

Leo: You've been a voice for years. I want to see who I've been talking to.

[Satanael]

「Leo, this isn't the moment—」

Leo: It's exactly the moment. I just found out I'm the literal core of an entire species and my best friend is about to fight the King of the Multiverse without me. I want to see your face before anything else happens.

[A long pause.]

[Then, slowly, a shape began to resolve in the space around Leo. Not violently. Gently, the way something long-hidden steps into light it's not used to.]

[A man.]

[Tall. White hair long enough to move on its own, though there was no wind here. Blue eyes — a blue that looked like it had been staring at very old stars for a very long time. Long white clothes, simple, the kind that had never needed to be anything but what they were.]

[He looked at Leo.]

Leo: —

[A pause.]

Leo: WHATTT.

[Satanael]

「That is not a real word.」

Leo: You're a whole person! You've been a whole entire actual person this whole time and you never once said anything!

[Satanael]

「I said I had a human form. You never asked to see it.」

Leo: I didn't know there was a 'see it' option! You could've just — walked out one day! Said hi! Introduced yourself properly!

[Satanael]

「Under the circumstances—」

Leo: Your hair is so white.

[Satanael]

「Yes.」

Leo: And your eyes are so blue.

[Satanael]

「I'm aware of my own appearance, Leo.」

Leo: Why didn't you show me sooner.

[Satanael]

「Because of what Voriath told you. The history of what happened with the previous vessel. If I had shown you my form early, you would have asked what I was before I found you, and that answer required explaining the entity, the banishment, the entire weight of what you are. I didn't want that weight on you before you were ready to carry it.」

Leo: So you waited until I got erased from existence to introduce yourself.

[Satanael]

「The timing was not intentional.」

Leo: You've had years.

[Satanael]

「I know.」

Leo: Years, Satanael. You could've shown up at breakfast. 'Hey Leo, pass the salt, also here's my face.

[Satanael]

「That would not have been an appropriate moment either.」

Leo: Every moment was more appropriate than this one!

[Satanael, despite everything, looked faintly amused — the specific expression of someone being needled by someone they've watched grow up.]

[Satanael]

「Are you finished.」

Leo: Not even close. Do you have a name? A real one, not Satanael.

[Satanael]

「Satanael is my real name.」

Leo: Do you eat food?

[Satanael]

「I have not required food in two million years.」

Leo: That's so sad. We're getting you food the second we're out of here.

[Satanael]

「Leo.」

Leo: What.

[Satanael]

「We are, currently, inside death.」

[That landed.]

Leo: ...Right. That.

[Satanael]

「Yes. That.」

Leo: Where exactly is 'inside death, because I genuinely don't know.

[Satanael]

「This is not simple death. There are many kinds. What you are experiencing right now is a state governed by an authority that can shape, grant, remove, reverse, or make irreversible the death of anything capable of dying — mortal or otherwise. It doesn't just end life. It defines the border between life and death itself, and it can move things across that border by force, or hold them frozen right at the line, unable to go either way.」

Leo: And that's where we are. Frozen at the line.

[Satanael]

「Yes. Voriath's erasure was strong enough to remove your category from the living framework entirely. It should have ended you permanently. But I exist outside that framework — outside the Hyper structure, outside the twelve-dimensional space. The erasure reached the part of you that lived inside the framework and stopped there. It could not reach what's built from me.」

Leo: So I'm not gone.

[Satanael]

「You are between. Not gone. Between.」

Leo: How do we get back.

[Satanael]

「Slowly. The border allows communication across it — which is how we're speaking now — and it can be crossed, but crossing takes time to rebuild what the erasure took. I am doing that now. Piece by piece. Anchoring what's yours back into a shape the living framework will recognize.」

Leo: How long.

[Satanael]

「Long enough that Isaac will need to hold the line without you.」

[Leo went quiet at that.]

Leo: He can. He will.

[Satanael]

「I believe that too.」

Leo: When I come back—

[Satanael]

「You'll still be able to use Infinity True Satanael, the Afterlife-born form. That returns with you, intact.」

Leo: And if it's not enough.

[Satanael]

「Then we go further than we've gone before. True Cosmic Satanael Wrath. The Perfect Afterlife. I would rather not need it. But it will be there.」

[Leo nodded slowly, sitting with all of it — the truth of what he was, the face he'd never seen, the deathhe was standing inside of]

Leo: Okay.

[Satanael]

「Okay?」

Leo: Okay. Let's go home.

[Back in the Primus World, the moment Leo's blood hit the ground and his body dissolved into nothing, the entire cosmology felt it at once]

[Voriath spoke into the silence that followed, addressed to no one and everyone]

Voriath: His source has been erased. It cannot come back. Erasing a source requires layers most beings will never reach in their lifetime, and I reached them. There is no version of strength that undoes what I just did.

[The words traveled. Through the dimensional connections. Through every front that had been watching.]

[In the Terra Celestial World, Luna screamed]

Luna: Leo—!

[She was moving before she finished the word, Time Magic flaring around her at a speed that scared even her own mother.]

God of Lunar: Luna, stop—

Luna: Let me GO—

[Lunar grabbed her other arm]

Lunar: It's too dangerous, baby, you can't—

Luna: I don't CARE if it's dangerous, he's—

[The other Celestials closed around her — Musaha, Daylight, Bellatrix, Celestie — a wall of bodies between Luna and the direction of the Primus World.]

God of Lunar: If you go now, you die alongside him for nothing. Listen to me.

[Luna fought against their hands for a long, long moment.]

[Then, finally, her knees buckled and she let them hold her up instead of hold her back.]

Luna: He's gone.

God of Lunar: We don't know that yet.

Luna: You heard Voriath—

God of Lunar: I heard a man who wants us to believe him.

[But even she didn't sound fully certain, and Luna heard that too, and it broke something further in her chest.]

[In the Chaos Universe, Christo Liverster stood frozen at the edge of the battlefield]

Christo: That's — that can't be—

[He had never liked Leo Sebastián. Had said so, loudly, more than once. And now his eyes were wet and his jaw was tight and he hated how much it hurt.]

[Blaze was beside him, not saying anything, his own eyes shining]

Blaze: He's really—

Christo: Don't. Don't say it.

[Neither of them said it.]

[Back in the Eastern World, Leo's subordinates felt it as one collective drop in their stomachs]

Laxcarseel: I'm going. Right now.

Jeannette: No.

Laxcarseel: Jeannette—

Jeannette: It's no use, Laxcarseel. Voriath's power is on a level above every dimension we operate in. Above all of us combined. If you go, you die, and it changes nothing.

Laxcarseel: So we do NOTHING—

Jeannette: We rely on Isaac. That's what's left.

[In the space between dimensions, The Manipulator and Siriusniyo felt the erasure too — and felt, with it, the specific weight of their own uselessness in this moment]

Siriusniyo: We should go. Now.

The Manipulator: We can't win against him. Not in our current state. Not against what he just did to Leo.

Siriusniyo: Then what do we do?

The Manipulator: "We let Isaac fight. Alone.

[This is the moment that shows what he actually is.]

[And Isaac —]

[Isaac was already on his knees where Leo had fallen, his hands shaking, slapping the ground where the blood had landed]

Isaac: Wake up. Wake UP, man—

[Slap.]

Isaac: This isn't funny, Leo, get UP—

[Slap.]

Isaac: LEO—

[Voriath's voice cut across the silence, calm, almost bored]

Voriath: Once a being is categorically erased from existence, it cannot return. You're wasting effort.

[Isaac went still.]

Voriath: You were his rival. I assume that means something to you. But weakness doesn't become strength just because you're angry about it.

[A pause.]

Voriath: You're weak, Isaac Hector. Both of you were. That's simply the truth.

[Isaac's head came up slowly.]

[His eyes were fire — not metaphorically. Actual flame, where his pupils should have been, burning white-orange and climbing.]

Isaac — Ignition. Full Release.

[The fire didn't build gradually this time. It erupted — outward, upward, in every direction at once, and the temperature reading, if anyone had still been able to measure it, would have shown something climbing past any number the cosmology had a name for]

[One thousand Sextillion degrees]

[The ground beneath Isaac cracked]

[The Primus World's structure simply could not exist calmly next to heat at that register]

[Voriath took a step back]

[For the first time since the war began, something like alarm crossed his face.]

Voriath: That's—

Isaac: Die.

[One word. No embellishment. No speech. Just the word, and then he moved.]

[Siriusniyo, watching from where he stood with The Manipulator, felt the heat reach him even at this distance and understood exactly what he was looking at]

Siriusniyo: That's not just anger.

The Manipulator: No.

Siriusniyo: His Twilight source — it's not a fire that burns things. It's the boundary between everything that exists and everything that doesn't. And right now he's not managing it.

He's just letting it be exactly what it is.

The Manipulator: How strong is that.

Siriusniyo: Strong enough that Voriath just stepped back. I've never seen Voriath step back from anything.

[Isaac closed the distance in a single motion, and the fight that followed had no careful exchanges in it at all — just Isaac hitting Voriath again, and again, and again, each strike landing before Voriath's countermeasures could fully form, the King of the Multiverse suddenly, genuinely, on the defensive]

[Voriath's subordinates felt the shift from wherever they were and in the space between dimensions where Mercurius and Xuantian had been resting in their between-state, something changed]

[Mercurius opened his eyes]

Mercurius: He needs us.

Xuantian: Then we go.

[They traveled — not through shortcuts, not through dimensional folding, but through the long linear path between the Invictus World and the Primus World, because that was the only route left to beings only just returned from the edge of dead.]

[It took time but they arrived and charged straight at Isaac without hesitation]

[Beatrice, watching from the sidelines with The Manipulator and Siriusniyo, stared]

Beatrice: How are they even—

The Manipulator: They should still be in the between-state.

Beatrice: They revived. From actual death. I can feel it — but neither of them even knows it happened yet. They don't understand what just brought them back.

[She watched Mercurius and Xuantian throw everything they had at Isaac simultaneously — every ability, every hax, every technique built over centuries.]

[Isaac burned through all of it in a single step forward.]

Isaac: I don't have time to play with toys.

[He moved them both out of his way — not violently, just decisively, the way you push aside something in your path — and turned back toward Voriath with his eyes still burning.]

Isaac — Sutur Ignition Form.

[The final transformation didn't arrive with fanfare. It simply arrived — Isaac becoming, in the space of a breath, something that made every ability in Voriath's current arsenal look small]

[He hit Voriath again and again]

[Every single thing Voriath tried to use in response simply stopped mattering the moment it touched him]

[The fight tore across the Primus World's outer layers, both of them moving at a rate that defied any ordinary description of speed — not fast in the sense of covering distance quickly, but fast in the sense that the flow of time itself had stopped being a reliable way to measure what either of them was doing]

[Every exchange happened, was finished, and had already produced its consequences before the concept of "happening" had fully caught up and still Voriath kept pace]

[He answered every strike, every burn, every collapsing law Isaac threw at him — matching that same register of movement, refusing to fall behind even as the fire pressed harder and harder against everything he was]

[It went on like that — merciless, continuous, neither of them slowing — until Voriath, mid-exchange, raised his free hand and the sky above the Primus World split open]

Voriath — Genesis of the Endless Herd.

[Creatures began pouring through the tear in reality.]

[Animals — but wrong ones. Too large, too many-eyed, too aware, their forms shifting between shapes that had never belonged to any single species, each one radiating a presence that felt less like a living thing and more like a concept wearing fur and teeth]

[Voriath, even mid-fight with Isaac, called out to the cosmology at large]

Voriath: These do not simply regenerate. Destroy their bodies and they return. Destroy their abstract selves and they still return. You cannot end them through force alone — only through unmaking what they represent, entirely, and even that will cost you dearly.

[The rulers of every universe felt the herd's arrival and began moving before the sentence finished. Kai. Stella Rose. Nebula Liam. Apollo Starlight. Cyra Silver — all of them converging toward the tear.]

[The Manipulator, Siriusniyo, and Beatrice moved as one.]

Siriusniyo: Here we go.

Beatrice: Finally. Something for the rest of us to do.

[And across the Chaos Universe, every guild — Ice Knights, Dark Lords, Solar Dragons, Black Phoenix, Force Light — surged forward to meet the herd as it began, all at once, to rampage.]
