Some uninhabited island in the New World.
The Angel of Redemption, flagship of the Kamui Pirates, was docked along the coast.
At that moment, everyone had disembarked and was gathered on the shore. A bonfire had been set up, and preparations for a banquet were well underway.
It didn't take long. Under the direction of Assac, Vians, and the others, the beach banquet was ready.
"Eh? Where's Captain Kronos?"
After finishing the setup, Assac looked around, but didn't see Kronos. Confused, he asked the others.
"Ah, Captain Kronos? He probably went to the other side of the island to train some new moves…"
Gojo Satoru replied casually, already munching on a skewer of grilled meat as he spoke.
"I'll go call Lord Kronos back," Albedo, who had been quietly sitting by the fire, suddenly stood up and said.
Meanwhile, on the far side of the island, Kronos was surrounded by swirling black mist, trying to control it—releasing and retracting it again and again.
He repeated the process constantly, yet the results continued to disappoint him.
Still unable to recreate what he had once done, Kronos felt frustrated.
He was trying to reawaken the Dark Chaos Form he had entered before.
Even if it was just a trace of that power…
It might help him understand how it worked—and perhaps master it.
But no matter how many days passed, no matter how many times he tried, there was still no way to access that form again.
He hadn't even figured out how to trigger it, let alone control it.
Furrowing his brows, Kronos thought back on the events of that day.
Could the trigger really have been being frozen in ice?
He shook his head, dismissing the idea. That couldn't be it. It didn't make sense.
Just as Kronos was deep in thought, Albedo arrived.
She gazed at him with starry eyes and gently called out:
"Lord Kronos, the banquet is ready. Please come back and enjoy it with everyone…"
Seeing Albedo's warm and devoted expression, Kronos couldn't help but smile. He nodded and walked back with her.
As for the elusive Dark Chaos Form, he could only shelve the matter for now.
Another week passed.
The Angel of Redemption continued to sail steadily across the waves of the New World.
As they progressed along their route, a new island appeared on the distant horizon.
"Let me see…"
Illya, who was on lookout duty, stood on the observation deck, carefully comparing the nautical chart with the eternal pose in her hand.
After a moment of checking, she confirmed the location.
"Dressrosa! Territory of the Shichibukai, Heavenly Yaksha—Doflamingo!"
After double-checking the data, she shouted down to the deck.
"Captain Kronos! We've spotted an island—Doflamingo's territory!"
Meanwhile, in the royal palace at the highest point of Dressrosa...
A man in a red cloak, with two crimson facial markings, appeared in the chamber.
He addressed the flamboyantly dressed man lounging in a recliner.
"Doffy, a group of uninvited guests has arrived…"
"It's the Kamui Pirates—the Kronos crew."
Doflamingo, who had been lazily reading, suddenly perked up with interest.
"Fufufu… Kronos, huh?"
He had encountered Kronos briefly during the Summit War, though they hadn't interacted much.
But from what he had seen and heard about Kronos—the destruction he caused, the chaos he left behind...
All of it piqued Doflamingo's curiosity.
"Fufufu… I've been wanting to have a proper conversation with that guy."
Rising from his chair with a grin, Doflamingo added:
"Everything he's done so far has been right up my alley. Who knows—we might even get along quite well!"
Hearing Doflamingo's tone, the red-cloaked man—Diamante—cautiously responded:
"Doffy, you should still be careful. That guy's dangerous. His bounty is 3.4 billion…"
But Doflamingo waved off the concern with a chuckle.
"Diamante, the sea's full of monsters. If you want to survive, you've got to make the right friends."
"There are many ways to build connections, don't you think? Fufufufu..."
Hearing Doflamingo laugh, Diamante sighed and gave a resigned smile.
"Well, since you've already decided, I won't object. I've followed you this far…"
