Kaiden woke to sunlight slipping between the bedroom curtains and Aria trying to follow him when he turned his head.
"Mm..."
Her cheek slid across his chest. He kissed her forehead before she could object, and the arm draped over his stomach relaxed enough to let him breathe properly again.
On his other side, Nyx slept with her face against his shoulder, pink hair spilling across the pillow they shared. Warm skin met him wherever he moved beneath the sheets. Beyond her, Yunohana had curled beneath the same blanket, her dark hair tangled with the space babe's.
He stayed there for a while, enjoying the weight of them.
Morning had reached their new Japanese home without producing much interest in it from the bed's occupants. Somewhere beyond the curtains waited a sea view, a terrace, and an entire house they could spend the day enjoying together.
Getting up would mean persuading his beautiful moon to release him.
He doubted the view was worth it.
