Just like that, Sophie Smith and Eva Miller kept taking turns to care for Christopher Smith. About two days later, Christopher began to regain consciousness.
He woke up and saw Sophie, unable to hold back his tears.
"Little Sophie, Dad..."
"Dad, you don't need to say anything, just focus on getting better," Sophie forced herself to maintain a smile, afraid Christopher would notice her sadness.
She spent the whole morning chatting with Christopher, and for once, he laughed heartily.
In the afternoon, Oliver Johnson came over.
He had been visiting frequently over the past two days, but each time he came, Christopher was in a coma, so Christopher hadn't met Oliver yet.
"Little Sophie, who's this?"
"Dad, this is Oliver Johnson. Mr. Johnson, you were lucky to have his help during your illness. He found you the best hospital and doctor."
"Thank you so much, Mr. Johnson."
"No need for thanks, I'm a friend of Miss Smith's, so it was only right for me to help."
