She glanced back, closed the door, and after ensuring Asher Land wouldn't suddenly come in, she answered Oliver Johnson's video call.
She didn't see Oliver Johnson immediately; the first thing that caught her eye was a large, ancient room.
Then the camera kept moving, and Sophie Smith saw Christopher Smith lying on the big bed.
He seemed to have fallen into a coma. He lay quietly on the bed, a needle inserted in his hand, surrounded by large medical machines, with an occasional doctor in a white coat coming in to observe something around Christopher Smith.
"What's wrong with my dad?" Her voice was somewhat anxious, "Has he passed out?"
"Yes."
She heard Oliver Johnson's voice come through, but she couldn't see his face.
"Uncle Smith's condition is very poor right now, and the doctors are trying their best to treat him."
"Mr. Johnson, I'm begging you, can you tell me your address now?" She sobbed as she spoke.
