Sophie Smith cast her gaze toward Asher Land, and he certainly saw the fear in her eyes. He firmly clasped her hand and resolutely nodded toward her.
Sophie knew that now was not the time to question or doubt Asher Land; now was the time to choose to believe him without hesitation.
"What do you want me to do to make you release him?" His cold gaze swept directly over Henry Johnson. Even though Henry Johnson knew he had an important bargaining chip in his hands and Asher Land wouldn't be a match for him, when he met Asher Land's eyes, a trace of fear suddenly flashed through his heart.
"What to do?" Henry Johnson straightened up, walked up to him, and Asher Land instinctively pulled Sophie Smith behind him.
"Ha, Henry Johnson, let me make it clear first: if you dare lay a finger on my woman, I will never forgive you."
