Asher Land looked at her expression, seemingly guessing her thoughts.
"Alright, I won't go to the company, I'll stay at home with you."
With his promise, her heart suddenly felt much lighter.
Doctor Lewis prepared some medicine to maintain the pregnancy for her, and after drinking it, she got ready to sleep early.
Asher Land stayed by her side all the time, though she still slept restlessly, sometimes murmuring, sometimes even crying. But whenever he held her hand, she quieted down a lot.
He had no idea how much pain she was enduring. Apart from staying by her side, he had no other solution.

Oliver Johnson leaned against the hospital bed, his eyes blankly staring forward. Eva Miller looked at his defeated appearance, and her heart tightly wrung.
"He's really dead, isn't he?" His voice was so weak.
Eva Miller nodded.
He suddenly seemed to go mad, tearing off the blanket, getting off the bed, and dragging his plastered leg to leave the room.
