Alexander knew Nolan Davis was going to get food for Sophie Smith, so he volunteered to go out with him.
Nolan Davis didn't refuse and took him downstairs.
He initially planned to go directly to the restaurant, but he was concerned that the food would get cold on the way back, so he decided to go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients and cook for her himself.
On the way, he gave Amanda a call.
He was a man trying to cook for her, which was somewhat challenging, so he called for Amanda's help.

Amanda was about to come in when Nolan Davis gestured for her to keep quiet. Not fully understanding, Amanda nodded and moved quietly.
Amanda was the head chef, and Nolan Davis was the assistant.
"Mr. Davis, why don't you step outside? I can handle this."
Amanda found it a bit weird to see Nolan Davis standing there.
"You just focus on your work."
