Sophie Smith put away her phone, snapped back to reality, and scanned the room, but couldn't see Asher Land anywhere.
She stood by the railing on the second-floor hallway, looked down, and saw Asher Land sitting on the sofa in the living room.
This stubborn man.
Sophie walked downstairs softly, approaching him.
He looked up at her, only to see her smiling gently, her eyes focused and earnestly staring at him.
"Did I move you?" He raised his handsome eyebrows and asked nonchalantly.
Sophie sat down on his lap, her hand resting on his shoulder.
"Asher Land, thank you..."
What he did today undoubtedly helped clear her name in front of the media, and it was indeed very effective.
"In another way?" He leaned in closer to her, and Sophie instinctively pulled her head back a little.
Asher frowned, displeased, "Sophie, your way of expressing gratitude is really lacking sincerity."
