"Luke Land, you really are a pro at playing the scum." Sophie Smith felt that communicating with someone like Luke Land was simply an impossible task.
"So are you going to say yes?"
"No." A question like that, you could answer with your toes.
In Luke Land's eyes, Sophie Smith's refusal this time wasn't "obvious." If it were, she'd probably be cursing him out, or even taking swings at him, instead of just giving a calm "no."
He only used a bit of strength and scooped her up from where she was sitting on the edge of the bed, then laid her down in the middle of the big bed.
"You—what are you trying to do, I already said, I'm not agreeing…"
"Little Chili, don't turn me down." His voice was hoarse with a hint of seduction, and when he whispered in her ear, Sophie could feel half her body go weak and numb.
His kisses fell densely along her fair neck. Sophie dodged, pushing at him. "Luke Land, if you keep this up, I'm really going to lose my temper…"
