In the gym room, Maya Spencer glared at the silent phone, rolling her eyes dismissively at it.
Suddenly, the phone rang again, startling Maya. She thought it was Liam Spencer calling again and was about to hang up when she saw the word "uncle" on the screen.
She paused her run and answered her uncle's call.
"Maya, how are you? It rained again last night," Aron Hanson's concerned voice came through the phone.
"I'm fine, just running in the gym," Maya replied, panting slightly.
"You seem to be in good spirits!" Aron couldn't help but admire Maya's ability to self-regulate.
"It's not a big deal, and anyway, given the current situation, it might not be a bad thing," Maya said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with a towel.
"As long as you're okay, I'm relieved. Tonight, Chairman Spencer wants to invite you to dinner to apologize for last night's incident."
