Listening to Hudson's report, Christopher was instantly dumbfounded, his mind went blank, feeling as if he'd been emptied.
All his willpower collapsed in an instant.
He could hardly believe the speed at which Seven and Ian moved, announcing their engagement so quickly.
Christopher felt weak from head to toe, even his fingers couldn't move.
He stared straight at Hudson, asking in disbelief, "What did you say?"
Hudson saw the pain in Christopher's eyes and took a deep breath, calmly saying, "Seven is getting engaged to Ian on Christmas, in 18 days. She's serious this time; she seems to really like Ian."
"Hudson, let me be quiet." Christopher said weakly.
