Nicole looked at the photo and bank card in her wallet, her thoughts as tangled as a ball of yarn, impossible to cut or untangle.
She closed the wallet and acted as if she knew nothing, walking back to her seat with a calm expression.
As they left the restaurant, it began to rain outside.
"Let's wait a bit before leaving!"
The street was empty, the rain pouring down. Nicole felt heavy because of the bank card and the photo in the wallet, yet she maintained a faint smile on her face.
"Okay."
The two of them stood in front of Milo's Western Cuisine, sheltering from the rain.
