The Grant family was finally done with their business, and upon checking the time, it was eleven-thirty. They promptly called Daisy to cut the cake. Daisy made the same wish that she had been making every birthday over the years, in front of the candle-lit cake, and then blew out the candles.
Her parents stayed with Daisy to eat cake, after a busy day they felt somewhat fatigued, and told Daisy to go to sleep early, then got up and went upstairs to their room.
Daisy thought of Dawn Sutherland who went out to buy flower cakes and hadn't come back yet, and sat alone in the living room, sitting in front of the cake waiting for Dawn.
"Brother, for so many years, I've had just one wish, I want to marry you in the future. I've made this wish year after year, but nothing has come true!"
Daisy held onto the blue letter, looking at the heavy rain outside, waiting for Dawn.
