The eyes were gentle, and the chestnut curls lazily draped over her shoulders. Every gesture was filled with elegance and intellect, no wonder it was so enticing.
Dawn Sutherland's gaze shifted. He reached out and pulled Daisy Grant into his lap, holding her in his arms.
"President Sutherland!" Daisy was startled by Dawn's action and exclaimed.
Dawn embraced Daisy, smiled lightly, lowered his head, and with wine-scented thin lips leaned close to Daisy's ear. Supporting the back of her head with his palm, he whispered softly, "It's an act."
Daisy's eyes flickered; she caught Jerri Sutton's astonished gaze at her and Dawn from the corner of her eye, recalling Jerri's earlier greedy look at her, she understood.
