"Mommy," Erin came over and tugged at her, "I want to sleep."
Daisy snapped back to reality from the doorway. She looked down at Erin's face in front of her and reached out to close the door.
She picked up the child in her arms, "Why do you want to sleep so early today? Aren't you going to video chat with James tonight?"
"We already did earlier."
"Okay, then let's take a bath and go to sleep!"
Lowering her head, Daisy kissed Erin, smiled, and took her son to the bathroom for a bath, then carried him back to the bedroom and coaxed him to sleep.
When the child beside her began to breathe evenly, Daisy gently lifted the blanket and got out of bed. She walked to the door, and a gust of icy wind blew onto her neck, making Daisy shiver. She hurriedly went to close the corridor window.
Cold crystals fell onto her skin.
It was snowing.
At night, it's hard to see the tracks of the falling snowflakes, but you can hear the soft rustle as they land on the ground.
