Earlier, she and Lady Stephens were outside the door, hearing Daisy Ginger demand that Edward Stephens replace her.
Coming in and wanting to switch people right away, that's a bit ruthless, isn't it?
Edward Stephens furrowed his brows without speaking. He shifted his gaze, looking at his own legs.
His legs were in braces, appearing intact on the outside, but the broken tendons and ligaments required constant exercise for him to walk normally again.
"How long until I can stand up again?"
"It's hard to say," Coco said as she came in, scrutinizing his legs, "This is a comminuted fracture; lifelong disability isn't impossible. Don't expect instant recovery — at least six months, at most a year. Take it slow with rehabilitation."
The man grew silent, saying no more.
On the way back, Daisy Ginger seemed very quiet.
Lady Stephens sat beside her, cautiously observing her expression. Seeing Daisy Ginger only seemed tired, she breathed a sigh of relief.
