It looked like she was going to make a big dinner, and the players were all pretty excited, because if she cooked a feast, they'd have the chance to sneak some food too.
The dinner that night was as lavish as Shuangshuang had expected. While the woman was busy cooking and serving, everyone took some meat off the ribs and roast chicken, brought it back to the ceiling ledge, and wrapped it up for storage with big chrysanthemum petals.
The smell inside the ceiling ledge had mostly dissipated by now. By the time they went to sleep at night, there was no odor near the entrance at all. After they went in to eat, they blocked the entrance again and started to rest.
