The chrysanthemum petals were dry yet soft and moist, with a light sweetness. The base of the petals seemed to carry a faint hint of nectar, tasting like a floral-scented fruit. The flavor was actually quite good. The four of them gathered around the petals and gnawed the tender, most delicious bases completely clean.
The bases of the petals contained plenty of moisture. After the few of them finished eating, even their thirst was taken care of. It was just that petals were so light and airy they didn't really fill you up. Fortunately, these petals were huge; if they got hungry again, they could just keep eating.
