"Leave it for your dad to eat." Mrs. Jiang wanted to eat it, but couldn't bring herself to. There were only a few apples, and if she ate one, Father Jiang would have one less to eat.
"Mom, you eat it, Dad still has some here." Jiang Xue didn't care and directly put the apple into Mrs. Jiang's hand without saying a word.
"I won't eat it!" Mrs. Jiang placed the apple back, which left Jiang Xue speechless, thinking to herself she'd have to go and buy more later.
"Mom, if you don't eat it, it'll go bad. Don't worry, once these are finished, I'll buy more for you both."
Hearing her daughter, Mrs. Jiang suddenly became anxious and said, "Don't waste money recklessly."
"Mom, I know!" Jiang Xue nodded, not wanting her mother to worry. Nonetheless, she picked up the apple, cut it in half, and gave one half to each of them.
This way, Mrs. Jiang had no choice but to eat it.
