The blame still lay upon her simple mind; she hadn't considered letting him swap outfits with someone else as a direct solution.
Summer Sutton glanced over in her direction, noticing she appeared somewhat dejected, and felt a pang of sympathy. She helped Ryan Walyon explain, "Jimmy Evans only changed his clothes a minute or two before the ribbon cutting. You hadn't returned yet then; he was probably afraid he wouldn't have time."
"No need to comfort me," Ariella Sawyer smiled indifferently and tossed the clothes into the trash, "He has no reason to wait for me. I don't even know his size, so I wouldn't have bought the right fit anyway."
She threw them away without a hint of hesitation, discarding a perfectly good outfit just like that, making Summer Sutton feel sorry for her.
"Next, let's welcome Miss Sawyer, who joins us today to grace the event!" The voice of the host for the ribbon-cutting ceremony came from the stage.
