Rosie Wood seemed to be arguing with him, her voice getting louder, and Henry Dales's tone increasingly impatient.
"I have nothing more to say, think whatever you want, I have other matters to attend to, that's it."
Before Henry Dales hung up the phone, Scarlett Yates heard Rosie Wood's angry questioning again. Though she couldn't make out the words clearly, she could tell from the tone that she was furious.
After hanging up, Henry Dales was silent for a long time.
After a while, he turned around, looked down at Scarlett Yates, his lips moved slightly as if to speak but hesitated.
Scarlett Yates proactively suggested, "Senior Brother Dales, you mentioned you bought me from the auction, has this news spread, and Senior Sister Wood found out? She must be very upset now, you should go back to the school and comfort her."
Henry Dales was silent for another moment, his voice deeply resonant: "Scarlett, she doesn't know it's you, don't worry about it."
