The young girl stood under the light, looking a bit different from before.
Her brows and eyes were much softer, the sharpness that was once easily felt was gone, and now she was reserved and delicate, wearing a light blue sheer shirt and jeans, with short hair, red lips, and white teeth, she looked like a beautiful young man, but she was already... married.
Dallas mused lightly, and didn't approach immediately. He asked her, "You came with Koa Jackson?"
"Yes." Mia Ginger nodded, pressing her lips together.
Her expression was polite and courteous, but it seemed she was a little guarded around him.
Remembering the previous misunderstandings, Dallas felt a bit of regret too, so after a moment of thought, he said in a low voice, "Why are you so distant with me now? Is it because I deceived you before?"
"No, it's all in the past." Mia smiled lightly as she glanced at him.
But the feeling of estrangement didn't escape Dallas's notice.
