"Thud!"
Her back hit the hard wall, and Iris Harris winced in pain. As she lifted her eyes, she saw Brandan Hyde's face inches away, his dark eyes seeming to burn with fire, scaring her into silence.
Both shocked and angry, Iris looked at him with fear, afraid to shout lest Oliver and the others find them. "Brandan, calm down."
"You're alive."
Brandan stared at her and suddenly said.
Iris pressed her lips together and stayed silent.
"Three years..." he said softly, "Hiding here, I've been thinking about you for three whole years."
"You can continue to think I'm dead," Iris's tone turned a bit cold.
Brandan held her shoulders, staring at her for a while before suddenly lowering his head, kissing her fiercely.
Iris was pinned against the wall, unable to dodge, afraid of making noise that would be heard by the people downstairs. She could only resist the urge to push him away, enduring Brandan's almost savage kiss.
He seemed to want to devour her!
