"Alex Hawk," she saw Alex Hawk standing to the side and called out to him, realizing as she did that her voice was hoarse. "What happened?"
Alex Hawk turned his head, saw Iris Harris standing on the stairs in her robe, her expression somewhat panicked, as if she'd been startled.
He walked over and reassured her, "There's been a little incident. You go rest first. I'll call you when Brandan is okay."
"He... what happened to him?"
Upon hearing this, Alex Hawk's eyes darkened for a moment, and he spoke softly, "Someone planted a timed bomb at the docks, and it exploded just as Brandan arrived. Fortunately, the bodyguards shielded him, so the bomb didn't hit him."
"..." Iris Harris turned pale. "A timed bomb?"
