Alex Hawk stood up as well, addressing Brandan Hyde with concern evident in his voice, "Calm down! You're going to strangle him!"

Brandan lowered his head, staring at the bracelet in his hand. After a long while, he released Boss Lester's collar, his gaze fixated on the bracelet, unmoving.
Alex gave a signal to let the people in the room leave, then accompanied Boss Lester out, offering comforting words. He coaxed some information out of him before returning to the room.
Inside the room, Brandan sat on the sofa, his once handsome face now showing signs of weariness.
He held the jade bracelet in his hand, looking down at it.
"This bracelet," Alex couldn't help but say as he walked over, "I remember it was your mother's, right?"
"Three years ago, she left, and my mom gave it to her," Brandan said softly.
Upon hearing this, Alex sat down as well, taking a place beside Brandan and letting out a gentle sigh.
Yes, three years.
Three years had already passed.
