Brandan and the others had just returned home when they received a call from Alex Hawk.
"Brandan, is something wrong again?" Alex said tensely from the other side, "Do you need me to find someone to rescue you?"
Brandan sat on the sofa, watching Iris Harris go upstairs, his eyes narrowing slightly before he coolly replied, "You're always late to the party. Even if something did happen, could you make it in time?"
"Damn, how was I supposed to know you'd just drive off on your own," Alex complained. "You won't let me intervene or handle these matters, do I have to monitor your whereabouts 24/7? You know River City is full of his people now, yet you still dared to go out alone. Haven't you learned from last time's experience?"
It seemed Alex Hawk was still dwelling on the incident where Brandan got injured last time.
Brandan glanced again at the staircase where Iris was coming down, carrying a medical kit.
