In the afternoon, Alex walked in and saw the two of them asleep in each other's arms. He clicked his tongue softly, and Brandan opened his eyes, lazily glanced at him, and gestured for silence.
Alex smiled, walked over, and looked at Iris sleeping obediently in Brandan's arms, "Who is actually hospitalized here, you or her?" Brandan was already awake, yet she was still asleep.
Brandan gently stroked the dark circles under her eyes with his fingers and said softly, "She probably hasn't been sleeping well lately."
Alex winked at him smugly, "I told you, she still cares about you."
Brandan said nothing, just pursed his lips into a smile, a smile filled with indescribable happiness and sweetness, tenderness and affection.
Seeing it, Alex felt a slight toothache.
Iris was a light sleeper; hearing the noise, her slender brow furrowed slightly, seemingly about to wake up.
