Alex Hawk was momentarily stunned, a flicker of surprise flashing through his deep eyes as he recalled that polite and courteous man, leaving him at a loss for words.
"I've heard his influence in Casselvia is immense. Would it be alright for us to just recklessly go there?"
"Even if there are issues, make sure there aren't any!" Brandan Hyde gritted his teeth and said, "He dares to marry my woman. If I don't personally take him down, I'm no Hyde!"
The guy who was just adamantly refusing to go now is calling her "my woman" at every turn. Alex Hawk was both amused and exasperated, with a faint sense of helplessness. He knew Brandan couldn't let go of Iris Harris. He was just being stubborn earlier. Now that something happened to Iris, he couldn't sit still.
