Zoe accompanied Cherry to the private hospital where Doctor Chapman worked. Doctor Chapman was quite busy and took more than an hour to stabilize Cherry's condition.
"Miss, didn't I say you need to rest in bed? You're not even past three months yet, it's very unstable. You must be bedridden. If you lose this child, you may never have another one again. This is very serious!"
Doctor Chapman looked grave. He wasn't being alarmist, though he and Zoe had agreed to keep this child. If Cherry miscarried, it would indeed cause significant damage to her body.
Cherry started to cry: "Doctor Chapman, it's not that I don't cherish myself. I have no choice. Today is the Hunter Family patriarch's birthday celebration. How can I not appear?"
Doctor Chapman was well-informed about the affairs of the Lewis and Hunter Families. He sighed at her words: "Even if it's a big event, it must be postponed. Your health is important."
Cherry was comforted by him and cried intensely.
