"Because my wife is your biological mother! Hurry up!"
Harry Hunter had no intention of urging his son to share his troubles, to let them bear it together.
Men, what's the point in complaining? Whatever difficulties they have, they should bear them themselves. That's how he's always done it, and that's how he's always taught his son too.
"If you don't go and appease your mother, I'll contact all the coal mines in S City and make sure you're never allowed in!"
This was quite a serious threat, and thus Evan could only compromise.
He went downstairs, sat beside his mom, and kept her company.
Of course, most of the time, it was Mrs. Hunter doing the talking, and Evan just nodded. But even so, Mrs. Hunter was already quite pleased.
She started earnestly discussing with her son: "I'll buy a house nearby for you and Little Zoe as your marital home. What kind does she like?"
Evan stayed silent for a long time before finally speaking: "Let me ask her."
