Zach was surprised by Zoe's attitude; he thought she would be upset, but she wasn't.
Her inner strength was greater than he had imagined.
He pulled Zoe into his arms, "Next time, don't tell others that you're not my girlfriend. You are!"
Zoe felt embarrassed being hugged by him in front of the other students and coaches, struggling to break free from his embrace, and pretended to be calm, "I haven't agreed yet."
Zach chuckled, "So you want me to chase you? Fine, I'll chase."
He grabbed Zoe's hand again, "Later, I'll go with you to look at cars. There's a car show today. Do you want to go to the showroom or the car show first?"
"There's a car show? Then let's go to the car show."
She had been to car shows before, but always as a sidekick for Cherry when she was buying a car. Now she could go pick a car herself; the feeling was fantastic.
Her hand was enveloped by his warm, large hand, giving her a different kind of security.
