She actually didn't think there was any problem being a cook for Isabella Weaver; she always did the laundry and washed dishes for Cherry Lewis, so doing some chores was a minor thing for her.

This feeling of being cared for was hard to resist.
Suppressing her emotions, she said quietly, "It's fine, cooking for Isabella is quite enjoyable. You got into trouble with Cherry because of me, and I can't do much else, but I can only find you a few bodyguards."
She actually wanted to remind Lefton not to pay attention to beautiful women, as they were likely traps set by Cherry.
But after thinking carefully, she gave up on the idea.
