[3rd POV]
While the kids were meeting Amity properly, touring around the house, Wanda remained in the kitchen. She had decided to whip up a rather good dinner for the new girl, and her children of course. The meal itself was going to be a French classic known as "Beef bourguignon" , a classic stew that was pretty delicious.
She had never made it before, but she knew dozens of recipes for it, and had made plenty of other stews that were somewhat similar. So she ended up getting it down after a few minutes of contemplating how she wanted to go about making it.
With the stew in the pot cooking, Wanda sat and sipped on some tea as she decided to get ahead on some of her reading. She had a LOT of books to read, and she doubted she would ever complete all of them to be honest. She would only continue to get more books in her collection.
Sure, she could read them all in an instant if she wanted, and she could use the fact that she embodied Knowledge to easily learn well...everything in those universes. But that would be boring, and would take from her love of all things books. It was the whole reason she had opened the bookstore that she had been running for months now.
That was basically most of her life at this point to be fair. She was doing things because she enjoyed doing them. But in actuality, she could do pretty much her entire life instantly if she truly wanted. Being as strong as she was made that easily possible for her.
But she enjoyed it, so she did it.
Wanda continued to sip on her tea as she read the book she had recently gotten from Eda. The book was on a more advanced use of abomination magic, and was pretty interesting. She had no idea how Eda got her hands on it, but she had a feeling it involved something illegal. But Wanda wasn't going to complain, as she learned more about the art of turning into the very abomination goop that witches tended to utilize.
'Hmmm, interesting. It seems that the witches that use abomination magic are quite literally connected to their abominations. Their souls are almost bound to the creations that they make, even if it is momentary' Wanda thought in interest as she flipped the page once more.
'And thanks to that, they can warp and change their abominations to levels that others cannot with other forms of magic. Truly an interesting art, not to mention incredibly versatile' Wanda thought, genuinely impressed with the type of magic.
It was one that even she could find use for. As the abomination magic actually adapted and grew with the witch. So the stronger the witch, the stronger the abomination. And thanks to Wanda being so powerful, her abomination would be truly incredible.
She'd have to test it out later on. The magic could be of use to her, even if it's in limited amounts. That and she wanted to use and learn the magic a bit more so that she could help Amity learn it.
She had been teaching Amity all sorts of magic, but Abomination was one that she had a severe lack of experience with.
'I'll have to test it out later on' Wanda thought, deciding to train it later.
'Although...I guess I do have someone to train it with' Wanda realized, as she began to smile with her decision. Amity would be a great person to train it with, and she could already imagine the glee that the girl would feel once they started to practice together.
The kid would probably really like to see what her abomination magic could do.
Continuing to read for another few minutes, Wanda hummed as she glanced over at the stew, pleased to see that the food was cooking well. It smelled incredible, and was cooking well. Should be done in a few more minutes, thanks to the magic that had been used on the stove.
The stove was able to cook her foods faster than before, and was also able to cook her meals perfectly. This way she wouldn't have to worry about it too much. With the food cooking, Wanda perked up as she heard steps getting closer.
Looking over, Wanda smiled as she saw a brightly smiling Amity walking in.
"I told you this place is awesome, didn't I?" Milim said with a grin on her face as Amity looked awed by the dimensions that she had seen over the past few minutes.
"You were right, this place is incredible! The dimensions are truly incredible. And the fact that they are all self-sufficient is amazing!" Amity exclaimed with a bright smile on her face, nerding out over the dimensions that she had been shown by Milim and Naruto.
"Yeah and there's a ton more than that downstairs! We'll have to show you more later!" Naruto responded with a smile of his own. He had really enjoyed showing the place off to what was definitely going to be his next sister.
Naruto and Milim were not dumb, and they both knew how their mama was. She would almost certainly bring the girl in just like she had with them, and they both knew that their mama was the best, was awesome. She was so loving that it would be impossible for Amity to not want to see her as her mother.
Naruto and Milim were half tempted to try and steer her towards that direction. But they both knew their mama, and knew that she would not be happy if they attempted to manipulate Amity into becoming their new little sister. Well, technically she was actually older than Naruto, but he would never let her be his older sister...probably.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, Amity. I've got a delicious stew called "Beef bourguignon" that I am sure you'll like. Oh, and you two, get the dishes ready" Wanda said, giving them both a look when they were ready to complain.
The two grumbled but walked over to grab the bowls for the stew and forks.
"How come they have to grab the bowls when you can use magic to summon them?" Amity asked, confused as Wanda smiled softly.
"Because I don't want my children to become reliant on magic. And while you live here, it'll be the same. But I will tell you now, that this will not be anything like what you're old...caretakers had you do. You'll simply help clean the dishes, throw away trash, and stuff like that. Nothing difficult" Wanda responded, Amity looked even more confused.
"Why is it bad to become reliant on magic?" Amity asked.
"Well, that's simple hon. Magic is powerful and is really nice, sure. But magic is also not absolute, and there are abilities and items out there that can block and nullify magic. Which is why Naruto and Milim are also being taught martial arts. This way they can defend themselves in the case their power is somehow blocked" Wanda explained. Amity nodded in understanding.
"So it's for safety"
"Mmhmm. It's all to make you safer. So that you understand that you cannot rely on magic alone. And that sometimes, it's better to be a bit more physical with things" Wanda replied, as Milim and Naruto placed the bowls and forks onto the counter.
"Thank you two. Say, Amity, how would you like to help me plate the stew?" Wanda asked, as Amity nodded rapidly, and moved to help Wanda plate the food.
After a few minutes of putting some stew into the bowls, the newly grown family began to sit around the dinner table. Wanda watched with a small smile as her family began to dig into the meal.
"Oooh, this is great mama!" Milim said as she bit into some of the meat in the stew. While Amity's eyes widened at the taste. She had eaten Wanda's food before, but this was on another level.
It was even better than her normal dishes. Which was saying a lot considering how insanely good Wanda was at cooking. Honestly it was surprising that she did not have a domain in Food or Cooking.
"I-Incredible" Amity whispered, struggling to keep in her tears as she had the first proper dinner in years. With what was basically her new family, as Wanda warmly gazed at her, one thought on her mind.
'Welcome to the family, Amity'
