"So, don't push me away! I will stay by your side, even if that means I have to die with you!"
"You're not going to die!" the Masked Alpha roared. That last statement from Odette broke the string of logic in his brain, and now he rushed towards Odette and hugged her tight, so tight that he wanted to make sure that Odette couldn't move, so she couldn't harm herself. "You—I won't allow you to die!"
Odette was surprised by the hug at first, but she slowly wrapped her hand around his waist to reciprocate the hug. She felt the big man's trembling body, as if he could wither and die just because she said that she was going to die with him.
"Then, I won't die as long as you let me stay by your side. Don't drive me away, because I want to start a life with you without any misunderstanding," Odette said. "And that life can't be fulfilled without you as my man, is it not?"
