The next matchup for the final day was the relay race, and the participants were:
White Tigers:
Liabilities
Jangla
Tsunami
William
Red Beans:
Per-guy
Roslin
Flower
Sam
Before the match, the White Tigers gathered for a strategic meeting. Jangla, being the one closest to Sam, knew exactly how his mind worked.
"Sam will definitely want to take all the glory for himself," she said. "He'll try to go last and win it for his team—classic spotlight-stealing behavior."
She laid out the plan:
"That means Pre-Guy will start for their team. So here's what we'll do—we send Liabilities first to gain the early advantage. Then Tsunami and I will go one after another, and finally, we'll send William to face off against Sam.
But here's the twist—if Liabilities gives us a good enough lead, Sam might not even get a chance to run. We win and crush his ego."
Everyone agrees and the plan was set. Now all that was left was to execute it—and execute Sam's pride while they were at it.
Soon, the lineup was finalized, and everyone stood at their assigned positions, waiting for their moment to shine.
At the starting point, Liabilities and Pre-Guy stood ready, preparing to run faster than light the moment the whistle blew.
3… 2… 1… Go!
The match began, and thanks to his long legs, Liabilities only needed a few steps before reaching Tsunami and tagging her in.
Pre-Guy barely stumbled his way to Flower, huffing and puffing like he'd run a marathon. A few seconds later, Tsunami tagged Jangla, keeping the lead strong.
Everything was going perfectly according to plan. Jangla just had to tag one last runner. Flower still had to pass the torch to both Roslin and Sam. Jangla smirked. Victory was practically in her pocket.
Jangla ran confidently, smiling as she approached the end of her line. She stretched out her hand to pass the torch, imagining Sam's frustration at not even getting to run.
In slow motion—jangla ran her arms stretched a bright light behind william. Tag complete. But when she looked ahead…
William was gone.
Standing in his place was… July Boy.
(Meanwhile flower also tagged roslin.)
Jangla smirk froze in place, morphing into disbelief.
She turned to see Sam standing next to her, grinning like a menace.
"You've got to be kidding me…" she muttered.
"What are you doing here? Where's William?!" Jangla shouted, pushing July Boy by the shoulders.
He blinked slowly. "Huh? Is it lunch time already…?"
Meanwhile, Sam shouted toward the referees.
"Hey! She's helping him run! That's illegal, right?! Isn't that cheating?! Unfair! Rigged match! We demand JUSTICE!"
Jangla stormed toward him and grabbed his collar.
"I know you're behind this, you smug little—what did you do to William?!"
"Ref! She's assaulting a player!" Sam yelled again. "I fear for my life!"
Reluctantly, Jangla let go, steam practically coming out of her ears.
Roslin, doing her part, ran as fast she could and finally reached Sam and passed him the torch.
And Sam?
He walked.
Yeah he Walked.
To the finish line.
Because July Boy was half asleep and hadn't even made it halfway.
The Red Beans won the race.
Final Results:
🥇 1st – Red Beans: 20 pts
