Chapter 317 - Chapter 317: The Fall of the New York Sanctum

"Kaecilius, what are you doing here? Did Headmaster Sebastian ask you to come here to find Master Ancient One? Or do you have something else to do?" Wong asked.

He spoke like an old friend meeting casually, but Wong had already secretly touched the magical relic at his waist.

He could clearly feel that Kaecilius was different at this moment, full of aggression and danger. He was afraid that they had hostile intentions!

Looking at Wong, all his actions were naturally seen by Kaecilius.

Sighing, Kaecilius said to Wong, "I am sorry, Wong!"

With a glare, Wong pushed Stephen back with his hand and shouted at him, "Go find Master Ancient One and tell her that Hogwarts is going to attack Kamar-Taj. Tell Master Ancient One to be careful of Sebastian Shaw!"

Before Wong finished speaking, Kaecilius had already raised his wand.

This wand, far longer than any other, was crafted by Sebastian specifically for Kaecilius. Crafted from branches of a Golden Apple Tree and dragon heartstring core, it possesses the most powerful offensive amplification!

"Petrificus Totalus!" Kaecilius cast.

Red lightning shot out from the wand's tip, only to be blocked by the relic in Wong's hand.

Simultaneously, Wong swung his scepter-like relic, unleashing a long whip of countless fiery strands of magical energy, which swept towards Kaecilius and the other Hogwarts wizards.

But Wong was only one man, and the group he faced was no less formidable than he. Kaecilius swung his wand and cast Expelliarmus, knocking Wong's relic away. Before Wong could even begin his defensive magic, Kaecilius used his spell-casting skills to cast Stupefy, sending Wong reeling backward and collapsing.

Meanwhile, Stephen, who had escaped to the second floor, looked at the collapsed Wong. He pursed his lips, and without further delay, he rushed towards the fixed portal leading to Kamar-Taj on the third floor.

However, his actions had already been detected by Kaecilius. Kaecilius stared at Stephen's flight and said to the five people around him, "Find and destroy the Sanctum node here. I will catch that one!"

"Understood!"

"Yes!"

Amidst the voices of the five Hogwarts teachers, Kaecilius's body twisted and spun, transforming into a black cloud of smoke that soared into the air, chasing Stephen directly. By this time, many people at Hogwarts had begun to learn and even master the art of Apparition. Kaecilius and the five people who had followed him were among the most accomplished.

The black smoke quickly caught up with Stephen, landing in front of him before he could reach the portal.

While teleportation magic was prohibited in the Sanctums, the mere ability to fly through Apparition was exempt from this restriction.

Kaecilius did not waste any more words with Stephen. The others had already begun destroying the Sanctum, and he did not have much time left.

Bolts of red lightning shot out from the tip of Kaecilius's wand, but were unexpectedly blocked by the relics Stephen had grabbed from the cabinets used to store magical artifacts on the third level.

Several red bolts of lightning struck the cabinets, shattering them one by one.

Kaecilius waved his wand, sending the shattered glass flying. Using Transfiguration, he transformed them into ropes that sought to entangle Stephen, threatening to bind him.

Just then, a red shadow shot out from the side, landing on Stephen's shoulders. It then dressed itself around him, carrying Stephen's body up, dodging the Transfiguration ropes and soaring over Kaecilius's head.

Stephen reacted instantly, clasping his hands together and pulling them outward, creating a long energy whip composed of countless fiery strands of Eldritch Magic that lashed out at Kaecilius.

Crack!

The two energy whips collided in mid-air, sending forth brilliant sparks.

The tip of Kaecilius's wand also clung to a long whip of Eldritch energy, entwined with strands of fire. Clearly, he was wielding the same magic from Kamar-Taj as Stephen.

"Using Kamar-Taj's magic to destroy it, Kaecilius, what exactly do you Hogwarts people want? What does Sebastian want? I know Sebastian. He is not the kind to attack Kamar-Taj for no reason!" Stephen shouted.

Hearing Stephen's words, Kaecilius snorted coldly. "Understand? What qualifications do you have to understand Headmaster Sebastian? In my opinion, you, the kind who keep claiming to understand, are the greatest blasphemy against Headmaster Sebastian!"

Kaecilius swung his wand violently. Red threads of light shot out from the tip, raining down in all directions, setting off a series of explosions.

"Confringo!"

Boom boom boom...

The chain of explosions and their aftermath made it difficult for Stephen to retaliate, and he could only use the flight power of his Cloak of Levitation to swiftly dash towards the portal.

The moment Stephen entered the portal, a violent explosion occurred behind him, and the portal was completely destroyed. This also meant that the New York Sanctum, one of the three Sanctums, had completely disappeared. Only two Sanctums remained!

"Stephen, what happened? What happened to the New York Sanctum?" a voice called out.

Climbing from the ground, Stephen looked at Daniel Drumm who was running over. Daniel was currently stationed at the London Sanctum. He had just come back for a shift break today, but he did not expect to encounter this incident.

"Daniel, Kaecilius and other Hogwarts wizards destroyed the New York Sanctum, and Wong was knocked down by them and his life or death is unknown. We must tell Master Ancient One about this!" Stephen said urgently.

"Master Ancient One is teaching magic to others outside. We will go there immediately!" Daniel said.

After saying this, Daniel immediately ran outside, and Stephen followed closely behind him. However, just as he passed the Eye of Agamotto on the high platform, he seemed to be guided by some mysterious force. He picked up the Eye of Agamotto and hung it around his neck before following Daniel out.

When Stephen arrived, the Ancient One had already learned about the situation at the New York Sanctum from Daniel.

She looked at Stephen and said to them directly, "I understand. I will go back and capture Kaecilius and the others. You stay here and do not move. There is no way they will come to Kamar-Taj to cause trouble."

As soon as the voice fell, without waiting for Stephen to say anything, the Ancient One opened a portal and left.

Stephen looked at the Ancient One who left, feeling a little unwilling. He did not have many friends in Kamar-Taj. Daniel was one, and Wong was another. Now that Wong's life or death was unknown, he really did not want to stay here and wait for the result.
