Choice & Awakening
Chosen Skill:Monarch of Death — Warden of Spirits (Lv 1)
My eyes burned. I staggered to the river and splashed water over my face—but the pain didn't fade. Five minutes of searing heat; I almost clawed at my eyes. Then it stopped. Drenched in sweat, I stared at my reflection: pupils burning red, irises ringed black, sclera white. My presence felt heavier; each step pressed more weight into the earth.
[DING][QUEST]Hunt Alone — Kill the Big Tiger solo and use your Monarch power.
Reward:?
"Hmm… a worthy first companion—and a challenge. But after that?" I weighed my path. "I could stay and train with Luffy and Ace, but I won't grow as fast as I want."
I clenched my fist. "I've decided."
"I'm leaving for the sea." I told, Luffy and Ace.
"We're going to become pirates at seventeen! How can you leave before that?!" Ace yelled.
"How can you leave so soon after Sabo died?!" Luffy shouted.
"Let me finish," I said. "I'm not becoming a pirate yet. I'm going to find a sword master—there's a sword dojo in the East Blue I can learn from."
"No. You're too weak to go to sea now—you can't even beat me. As your older brother, I won't allow it," Ace said.
"Yeah—and as your younger brother, I won't let you go die either," Luffy added.
"I'm not leaving yet. I'll leave in two months. To prove I'm ready, I'll take down the Big Tiger by myself and show you the new power from my Devil Fruit."
Ace frowned; Luffy stared, wide‑eyed. "What power?"
"A magic that lets me turn the things or people I slay into spirit companions."
"It brings people back to life?" Ace asked.
"No—and also kind of. I'm not fully sure yet. But I'll kill the tiger and make him my companion."
Ace exhaled, still unconvinced. "Alright, Sora. If you can beat the Big Tiger by yourself, I'll let you go to the sword dojo."
And so began two months of hunting the Big Tiger and intense training with Luffy and Ace.
