Frost, Steel, and Fury
Snow fell quietly over the Iron Plains. The silence, however, shattered as Jin raised his hand.
From the frozen earth, shattered blades and metal fragments rose into the air, orbiting him like a storm of death.
Raiden stepped forward.
Ayaka and Ino flanked him—both ready, despite their tense silence.
"I'm not your enemy," Raiden said.
Jin's voice was low. "But you're like me. You don't feel anything, do you?"
Raiden's eyes narrowed. "I don't need to feel to know this is wrong."
Jin laughed—and the storm launched.

Magnet Release: Iron Maelstrom
Metal shards spun through the air, slicing snowflakes mid-fall. Ayaka conjured her threads into a net, catching dozens before they reached Raiden. Ino formed a Mind Clone Jutsu, confusing Jin's senses for just a second.
Raiden vanished.
When he reappeared behind Jin, his body shimmered with the glow of Ultra Instinct: Enhanced Reflex.
He struck.
Jin blocked with a magnetic barrier—but Raiden shattered it with a brutal roundhouse.
"You hesitate," Jin growled, skidding back. "Why?"
Raiden didn't answer.
But something cracked in his chest.

Memory Fragments: Reawakening
> System Notice: Locked Memory Triggered
Fragment 01: You were in a white lab, surrounded by glass tubes.
There were others—children with blank eyes.
One of them was crying. A boy with black hair.
Jin.
Raiden gasped, stumbling slightly.
Ayaka's voice cut through: "That's enough!"
She leapt between them, her threads binding both boys mid-attack.
"Don't you see?" she shouted. "They did this to us! They made us fight like animals!"
Jin panted, his aura trembling. "I… didn't want this."
Ino stepped up slowly. "Then stop. Let us help you."

Aftermath: Bonds and Distance
The battle ended.
Jin collapsed, not from defeat, but from exhaustion. Raiden caught him before he fell.
That night, the four sat around a fire. No one spoke for a long time.
Finally, Jin whispered, "So I'm Subject Two. What about Subject Three?"
Ayaka tensed. "She hasn't awakened yet… but she's still in Konoha."
Raiden looked at the flames.

Back in Konoha
Days later, they returned.
Jin was given a temporary student pass. Ayaka stayed quiet, watching everyone. Ino tried not to look at Raiden, but when she did, it always lasted a little too long.
Shiro met them at the gates, leaning casually.
"Tch. Bring back souvenirs next time, will ya?"
Raiden just walked past him.
But Shiro caught his shoulder.
"Hey. You keep going like this… you're gonna break."
Raiden paused.
Then, for the first time in a while, he smiled. Just a little.
"…Maybe."
