c117: Super Saiyan Caulifla

Two slender, agile figures were walking down a bustling street, both clad in tight Saiyan battle gear. One had a spiky, unruly mop of black hair and a defiant expression Caulifla, the notorious rebel leader of a local Saiyan gang. The other, darker-skinned with long hair and a reserved demeanor, was her younger protégé and closest companion Kale.
"Big Sis... are you sure it's okay to ditch training class like this?" Kale asked hesitantly, her voice low but anxious.
"Tch. Whatever they're teaching, my big bro Renso already drilled into me years ago. It's a waste of time listening to those weaklings ramble. We're better off training on our own," Caulifla said dismissively, hands behind her head as she strolled forward.
"But... but what if they report it to Commander Cabba?" Kale still looked uncertain.

Just then, both girls stopped mid-step. Their sharp Saiyan instincts picked up a familiar, powerful ki surging across the sky like a comet tearing through the atmosphere.
"That's Li Yi! He's back on Sadala again!" Caulifla's eyes lit up with excitement.
"His ki... it's gotten even stronger since last time," Kale said nervously.
"Heh. Perfect. I've been itching for a real fight!" Caulifla cracked her knuckles, Saiyan blood already boiling. She hadn't found a decent opponent in months most couldn't last three seconds against her in base form.
With that, she shot into the sky in a flash of white aura.
"W-Wait for me, Sis!" Kale called out and took off in pursuit.
Meanwhile, across Sadala's mountainous outskirts, Li Yi was finishing setting up a training area by the cliffs. He had returned to Planet Sadala after traveling across Universe 6's battle sectors and training under the gravity-intensive conditions of Planet Shakkarot, which was once used by elite Saiyan squads. Now, with his energy simmering, he stood calmly, waiting.
Beside him stood Bra, the half-Saiyan daughter of Vegeta from Universe 7, who had tagged along using Vados' dimensional portal to study Universe 6 combat styles.
"Brother... you've been standing here for ages. Why is Caulifla taking so long?" Bra asked with a sigh.
Li Yi's expression sharpened. "She's here."
In the next instant, two rapid energy streaks flared across the horizon, and Caulifla and Kale landed before them in graceful arcs.

Caulifla lunged and smashed a fierce punch directly into Li Yi's chest, sending him crashing back into a ridge of broken rock.
"Hah! Not bad, huh? After all these years, I bet you can't keep up anymore!" Caulifla smirked, arms crossed and tail flicking with confidence.
Li Yi dusted himself off mid-air and landed lightly, a smile twitching at the edge of his lips.
"Wanna bet?"
With a blur of movement, Li Yi vanished and reappeared in front of Caulifla. His fist sunk into her abdomen like a piston, slamming her back with explosive force.
"Agh!"
Caulifla doubled over, air knocked from her lungs. She stumbled, coughing, and looked up at Li Yi in shock.
"H-How... how the hell are you that fast?!"
"You're still too slow," Li Yi replied coolly.
"Don't get cocky!!" Caulifla shouted, her cheeks flushed. That prideful Saiyan spark ignited fully now.
She charged at him again.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
A flurry of fists and kicks erupted between them as the two exchanged blows at blinding speed, their movements carving shockwaves into the surrounding terrain. Kale watched wide-eyed awed and terrified. The ground beneath them trembled with the sheer force of their duel.
He threw a rapid barrage of punches, but each one was effortlessly dodged by Li Yi, whose movements were sharp and fluid, reminiscent of Ultra Instinct Sign, albeit incomplete.
"I'm right here!" Li Yi's form flickered his aura vanishing briefly before he reappeared behind Caulifla, his hand poised near her neck without touching.
"Damn it, enough already!" Caulifla growled, frustrated. Though she didn't want to admit it, the power difference was obvious Li Yi's ki control and reflexes far outclassed her. He was operating at a level she hadn't even glimpsed yet.
"You haven't even gone Super Saiyan?" Li Yi asked, brows furrowed.
"No! I've tried a bunch of times, but it's just not happening!" Caulifla snapped, her usual bravado now tinged with irritation.
"Then you're ready to transform now?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Yeah." Li Yi nodded.
"Then do it! Show me already!" Caulifla said, nearly bouncing with anticipation.
Fwoosh!
As soon as she finished, a brilliant golden aura exploded around Li Yi's body, crackling with energy. His black hair spiked upward and turned golden blonde, his eyes shifting to teal a textbook Super Saiyan transformation.
"Whoa! So this is Super Saiyan... it's insane!" Caulifla gasped. The sheer pressure from Li Yi's aura pushed the air outward in waves.
"Li Yi, you've gotta teach me how to do that!" she demanded.
"With your combat strength, you should've met the criteria already," Li Yi said, puzzled. "You've got strong latent power and enough battle experience."
"Every time I try to get angry, I just... can't get mad enough!" Caulifla huffed.
"That complicates things. I guess I'll have to ask my dad if there's another way," Li Yi sighed. He hadn't had this problem his transformation came during a high-stakes battle, which helped him unlock it under stress.
"Let's go find Uncle Li Xu right now!" Caulifla exclaimed, her energy spiking again. She was itching for that next power-up and another round with Li Yi.
"I'm already here," came a voice beside them.
"Uncle!" Caulifla shouted joyfully, spinning around to see Li Xu, his arms crossed, floating above the field.
"Dad, is there a way to help Caulifla unlock Super Saiyan?" Li Yi asked.
"Caulifla, focus all your energy to the muscles in your upper back just below the neck," Li Xu instructed calmly. This method was similar to how Cabba first helped Caulifla transform in the manga and anime.
"Focus on the back?" Caulifla repeated, then closed her eyes and concentrated.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a golden flame surged from her body, and her hair snapped upward in golden spikes. Her eyes became sharp and turquoise. She'd done it she was now a Super Saiyan.
"Did that actually work?" Li Yi blinked in disbelief. His own transformation took multiple training sessions with Whis and extreme emotional pressure. This felt too fast.
"I'm so strong now!" Caulifla exclaimed, clenching her fists. Her body buzzed with new energy.
"Li Yi, fight me again! This time, I'm gonna wipe that smirk off your face!" She grinned wickedly.
"Even as a Super Saiyan, you're still no match for me," Li Yi replied calmly. He wasn't boasting.his base power level far surpassed hers, and with his Super Saiyan form, the gap only widened.
Caulifla's combat strength was still around 6 million at best, whereas Li Yi—enhanced by Whis's training and the Tree of Might's fruit was several tiers higher.
"You don't know that unless we fight!" Caulifla shouted, bursting forward.
"Alright, let me show you what I can really do!" Li Yi laughed.
Boom!
Before Caulifla could even blink, Li Yi vanished and reappeared in front of her. His punch gently tapped her stomach, knocking the wind out of her. The impact disengaged her Super Saiyan form instantly.
"Sis!" Kale cried, flying over.
"I'm okay," Caulifla said, clutching her stomach but standing tall. Her recovery speed was impressive.
"Li Yi, I transformed! How can there still be this much of a gap between us?!" she shouted, clearly annoyed.
"I train harder than you," Li Yi said with a proud smirk. "I've trained with an angel and eaten Spirit Fruit. You've still got work to do."
"Damn it! I'll train even harder from now on!" Caulifla growled, her pride lit ablaze.
At that moment, another figure approached from the sky, closing in fast.
"It's Cabba!" Caulifla said as the newcomer landed. He was a year or two older, with a calm demeanor and battle armor.
"Cabba, what are you doing here?" she asked.
"The instructor noticed you skipping training again. He asked me to check on you," Cabba replied. Then he paused and added, "Your ki it spiked just now. Did something happen?"
"Ha! I'm a Super Saiyan now!" Caulifla declared proudly, standing with her hands on her hips. "And I could pound you into the dirt without breaking a sweat!"
