This time, Serey paused for a moment, then let out a laugh in a very stiff manner.

Serey's laugh sounded like a cold robot.

When Bologue's vision cleared again, he had already been carried out of Serey's bedroom, his arms and legs hanging limply. He looked up to see Serey, carrying him like cargo under his arm, striding quickly down the corridor.
Bologue felt quite calm about this. By now, he had grouped the undead and lunatics together. Even if Serey started running wildly like a gorilla while screeching, Bologue wouldn't be surprised.

Serey screeched, his pace quickening to a near run.
